A good orientation in preparation for my cruise ship visit. Now I have a better idea what to see and how the process works for everyone. Good sailing!
i am boat shopping now, i never understand why therr are not more hardtop biminis
After pushing this three buttons if it come to mmsi reset, they turn me into “pc mode”. I can’t put any code there. Have some advice? Lowrance link-5
Hi there. I have also a similar issue with the SPP on a 4JH80 Yanmar. Question for you: how did you address the reverse mode... as the SPP reverses by rotating the whole, sail drive..? And the controller which is electronic?
There is no way to make reverse mode manually. You have only one option to engage gear forward but after this you have to recalibrate the system (ZF told me, have no idea what does it mean). But reverse is only with SD rotation, so you have to have all the system operates normally.
Hello, I want to buy a SIMRAD RS25. Do you recommend this? Thx
I had no issue with my radio. It is 35 but I think 25 is fine
_Vive valeque.💙💛_
Gimme food more tasty
Well done - hope you got ‘salvage’ from the owner.😀🤣⛵️ Th skipper of the boat was clearly out of his depth.
Very well explained.😀👍⛵️
Excellent video (I am still catching up with your channel).😀👍😊 Well done for completing a complicated evolution at a distance from competent (and affordable) technical support.👍⛵️
Thank you mate. Soon we will continue to do videos. Crossed Pacific
An option for any sailor who is single handed and without an autopilot is to heave to for 4 hours or so.
I just found this video - not even looking for Dock and Go - but as a retired Marine Engineer I watch anything with an engineering bias.😉 Thank you for giving your candid and honest appraisal and excellent functional description of the system and more importantly the shit support from ZF and Yanmar. The throttle control lever plate which is aluminium and badly corroded is just shocking (although you could probably clean it up and spray with a sealing lacquer). You are probably not interested in my opinion but ai will share it with you anyway.😉 1. Everything you said in your video was absolutely true you are getting full propellor efficiency in any azimuth. Most fixed pitch props will give you about 20% astern. 2. Boats are expensive, the price of this system, the lack of on board diagnostics (like an ODB port) does suggest it has never been properly engineered. It is essentially a parts bin system that has been ‘bolted together’ with the clear intent of repair by high level assemblies (read at a high price). 3. I am a sucker for high tech stuff - and isn’t our life better because of it (GPS/AIS/Radar/Plotters) but just because the technology is available does not mean it is always appropriate to the application. 4. The truth is the integration of this technology into the propulsion system of a yacht just decreases the reliability of the propulsion plant. The apparent advantage of full power at any azimuth is actually irrelevant - you just do not need ‘full power’ astern. Have you still got the system fitted and what has been your user and maintainer experience since making the video? I suspect - rather less than satisfactory.😉👍 Thanks for sharing - I will look at some of your other videos.😀👍⛵️
Why you stop videos.
We are on the way via Pacific. In asia will continue. Almost here

how you look at you sails true the hard top, you name to trim them. saludos
If you race the boat it is no solution. But as a cruiser you can look one a week from side easili. Moreover there are some numbers on chartplotter which sais to chech the sails such as rudder angle
I am having the same issues with my Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 469 with the 360 docking in Asia. My boat has been stuck in the slip for almost 2 months now while waiting for a new electronic throttle and now that I have received the new throttle, the ZF tech stated that my 360 joystick is unable to receive signal or even power. They are saying that I may have to wait six months for the new part. I am at my wit's end with this whole debacle. It basically spending a lot of money and waiting to find out that I need to spend more money for the next part while wasting more time...If you have any spare parts that you would like to get rid of please let me know.
Service of zf are crazy bad. Just zero service. Great system when works...
done same thing for £100 using an old car battery and a Trolling motor with a plank of wood :)
ANNNNND the stupid idiot moron concept sea testicle thing collapsed 😂😂😂😂we
Excus me, I am honored to see your video. Beneteau and ZF Asia's after-sales service are very poor, charging $3000 just to read the gearbox fault code, so I decided to switch to SD60. I have some questions about the modification of the engine mounts. Based on the comparison between the drawings of YANMAR4JH4TCE+SD60 and 4JH4TCE+ZF Friedrichshafen AG ZFSD12, the engine mounts should be lowered by 97MM and moved back by 20MM. Why are your engine mounts moved back by 100MM? I look forward to your reply and will start the retrofit on May 12.
well-done! excellent project! I have a Beneteau with the Dock-n-Go system and cannot get clutch parts from ZF, so am looking at the change to SD-60. Is the hole in the hull the same between the two saildrives?
Yes, it is big advantage in this project. The bolt holes are the same, you need to buy motor mount
Hello, I have just completed replacing my SD60. My ZF gearbox has only been used for 300 hours and, except for the computer board, all mechanical parts are in good condition. Do you need them?
@@user-wb7ty2bg4p I am interested in parts!
@@user-wb7ty2bg4p I'm in Taiwan and am interested in your parts.
You forgot to review the front peak cabin, which is more comfortable than the floats cabins. Neel 47 has only 1 top cabin, but smaller neel 43 and 45 have 2 top cabins. Interesting review with honnest direct owner's review.
Are there any marinas on the west coast of the Azuero? Or near Santa Catalina?
We do not know it unfortunately...
I’m Artem
For being Captain German you sure sound pretty Russian 😂
I am Ukrainian, or course I have Slavic accent. Never try to hide it, what for? German is my family name. Sergiy German
