I'm just a retired guy who enjoys riding on two wheels and being outdoors.
Today I play around with my Beta EVO 300, Gas Gas TXT 300, and Tenere' 700. I do a lot more trials videos as I have a friend who rides often with me. Occasionally I'll record the sections of a Utah Trials event. I don't ride the Tenere' that often, but will show some scenic rides in Utah, or the west in general.
I also enjoy being outdoors and I love the desert southwest. I can't describe the beauty I see but, hopefully I'll be able to show it in my hiking videos.

Nice riding that is a good course!
Thanks. I was impressed with all the Sections the New Mexico Trials guys set up.
Also stop talking negative about your riding abilities !!
You are right about both.
Move your feet away from the frame out side edge of the pegs ! You will have better balance !
Which bike is this. I’ve seen the ones comparing the Beta vs Gasgas. I My right ankle has a plate 6 screws and three pins in it from a parachuting accident while in the military. I remember the old Bultaco having a left kickstart and thought that would be better to use my good ankle instead of the bad one. Nice videos. I’d be in the Novice or Intro 65 or older class. I used to ride dirt bikes in the 70’s. But have only ridden ridden street bike since then.
The bike inside the garage is the Gas Gas. Sorry to hear the ankle causes some restrictions, but there are options. Yes you could get a Beta, left side kick start, but there are other options too. The TRS can be bought with an electric start as can a Montessa, albeit the Montessa is probably the most expensive trials bike. One way or another, I'd say get one. It's addictive and I love riding mine.
I wish there were more places to ride them here on the east coast
Yeah you guys don't have a lot of public land. I know I have it good and I do not take it for granted.
All I can say is "Be Creative" in finding your riding areas. Even in areas with high population density there is still real estate out there that nobody really cares if you putt-putt around on. And don't expect to get permission, just give it a try and if somebody asks you to leave, you leave and don't come back. You'll find that there are places to ride where nobody cares. Look for property owned by corporations, like industrial parks that rent out floor space in buildings. These are often surrounded by wooded areas with interesting topo features. You just can't be shy. And no, there's damn little public land for moto use on the east coast.
@@andrewhanson5942 its the reason i tagged my 450sxf :) ride in ride out rather than unloading.
The bagpipes and deathgrip on the money; hilarious! I am buying a trials bike this fall to complimant my enduro bike, and try to learn some new skills going into my sixties. Subscribed!
Good for you, I hope you find the trials bike as addicting as I have. You're the only one who commented on the death grip of the money, I thought it was funny and no matter how hard one holds onto it, they cannot take it with them. Thanks for subscribing!
Great vid. It’s nice to see all skill levels. Some of the videos show only the picture perfect clean runs. It’s great to see guys who are still working and polishing their skills.
I have to give credit to those who struggled. By the third loop they were running a clean Section. Unfortunately that was not true for me.
Good video. Thanks.
You're welcome
100,% been riding now 45 years, not going to stop now !!!
I’ve just had a 4 month break after a very small crash at low speed and was actually funny . I didn’t even realise until that night that I had even hurt myself . My knee still hurts now but I’m back on my bike cautiously . I’m 58 so don’t bounce like I used to .
That is still a long time off. Hope all is well now.
Your content is always captivating man, stay safe.
Thanks for the nice comment. Definitely needed to take a step back after this one.
Love your attitude mate, you inspired me to buy a trials bike after a 30 year break!😀
And get out there and enjoy it!
Yesterday was a lesson, today is a gift, tomorrow isn’t promised……
I like that!
dude that thumbnail hahaha. Nice one!
That was great! And I couldn't agree more - get a trials bike!! My offroad skills have developed 3 times faster than they would have without it.
My trials bike is the first one I pick when choosing which bike to ride.
Thinking about an e-mountain bike
Why not. I've met many people that love theirs. The most important thing is to use it.
THIS ^^^^ Today is here, tomorrow is not
Precisely !
Ouch, I’m glad you’re back on the pegs !
Thanks. I'm glad and lucky I didn't break my tailbone. It was one of those downhill, front tire tucks and wham! over the bars you go.
I just crashed last week and can’t walk now. Fortunately it’s only tendons and muscles issues in both of my knees.
Ouch, sorry to hear that. I don't know if it's fortunate to injure tendons, they seem to take a lot longer to heal than a broken bone. Take care.
@@twowheelgeriatric thank you. Praying that it’ll heal fast and well. It’s weird not to ride.
@@twowheelgeriatricI’ve been told that tendons and ligaments take so long to heal because there is no blood flow in them . This is also why they are so white in colour . The only way to heal them is to rest them .
Absolutely! Gotta get back quick or the confidence level drops... Glad you're back in the saddle mate. I know exactly what you speak of! 😂 kzread.info/dash/bejne/jG15x9WRirveo7Q.htmlsi=YuBaqZnsFK1MS5bl kzread.info/dash/bejne/p4eptMakXa-rcrg.htmlsi=mF_90fNSRrk_7I2W
Ouch! I had seen the first video of yours, but good God that second video is hard to watch. My bruise spread to cover most of my butt cheek, but nothing like the spread on your covering your whole side. Man I'm glad to see you standing.
love the content you put out!
Thank you for that.
Tom, such a good explanation of the process! I’m always trying to grow my comfort zone…..
Thank you for the nice comment.
This is great! Love seeing the progression - epic
Thanks Chad. It was nice meeting you and Rachel today.
I wish they were that cheap in California 😢
As always, great camera and editing!
Thank you, but this one was posted predominantly so the new riders could watch it to see some mistakes they should correct. Not a lot of editing.
I lost sleep because of that four inch bump. It kicked my butt, however I’ll keep working on it.
Id really like to practice there 😉 looks like an awesome place to play
Yep, I'm grateful to have such a cool place in my neighborhood.
The answer is yes. Setting the gate at the right angle threw folks off.
That's some gnarly sections to be riding on , and falling on. Muds a lot softer 👍
There is a juicy Floater Turn at 5:08 that you missed. That might make the Up a little easier to hit, on the second bounce. Just sayin’.😃
You are 100% right. You're also quite astute to see that. Unfortunately floater turns are still not in my wheelhouse. I did try a few yesterday, so maybe one day they'll work for me.
Epic scenery my friend, absolutely gorgeous upload.
Much thanks. It's a bit more work for sure, but I like the end product. I think I'll do more like this.
What a difference from a year ago! Keep up the great work. Love the new gear!
Thanks on both accounts. I feel like I've made progress, probably not enough to warrant the trials tights. 😀 They are very comfortable to be honest.
Man you have an awesome playground there, such great vistas.
I don't take it for granted. I often stop, to rest, and enjoy views.
Your consistent practice is paying off! Great job!
Thanks Josh. Within the first 10 views I already had someone click a dislike.
Great riding! I saw in the comments (below) that this is the Tree Peaks Area. I've been interested in seeing what it looks like for a couple of years since it's a multi-use are. Looks amazing - Thanks!!
You're welcome, thanks for watching.
OH MAN! That looks like so much fun!👍
We had a blast. All four of us are at different skill levels, but I think that makes it a better ride.
Hello! Nice place to ride and have fun.
We are lucky to have this in our backyard
Beautiful area. I enjoy seeing guys who ride well but they’re not perfect. As always, great camera work. This looks like the Prescott or Baghdad area.
This is just another section of the Three Peaks Area in Cedar City Utah. It's a trials paradise.
Great video! Looks like a beautiful day.
I knew you were having a good day when you came down that steep straight descent. You had a big smile.
haha cool, I've never heard of that parable before.
I kept expecting you to suddenly come onto the scene on your bike .😂 .
Ha. I was bored and looked at some trail cam footage. Having the trail cam gets me out with the dogs.
Get a 250. 300 is way too much. Especially for a new trials rider.
Excellent comparison. I’m 67 years old and you just convinced me to buy a Gas Gas. 👍
I hope you have as much fun as I'm having. Thanks for the comment.
It’s all about finesse.
Sweet, good to see u out their, I love the camera angles!
Yeah you gave me a bit of motivation, so I went after a few obstacles that I've been looking at for a while. I had a blast riding with you, we need to do that again.
Flawless presentation man, brilliantly executed.
I set up two cameras to catch the movement from different angles. It was okay, but didn't quite have the ummph I wanted. Thanks for the comment Ervin.
@@twowheelgeriatric I think it’s fantastic composition 👌
Video never does justice to the terrain. Great riding. Keep it up…..
Thanks. The wall on the thumbnail was very intimidating for me.
Amazing progress. Your persistence paid off!
Thank you for the compliment. I know I feel more confident on the bike.
Are you riding the National in AZ?
Unfortunately I will not. Due to some family issues, this will be a difficult year to get out to many events.
I've done moto and been very curious about trials. Looks like fun!
I still have several motorcycles in the garage, but the one I choose to ride the most is the trials bike. It's addictive.
@@twowheelgeriatric It sure is
