MY FAVORITE SCOTCH
Love the content! This and Roseisle... such a great year for new Distilleries 😊
Absolutely! 😎 It's great when distilleries can impress you straight away with their first bottling.
Question, I bought a bottle, I'm aware it no longer ages as it's no longer in its cask or however it's spelt, I buy it in 2024 would it be any more valuable or better drinking 10 years from now if kept in good condition or would it be the same if I just bought it in 2034?
I was scared away from ‘peateds' for a long while. I had tried a bottle of Laphroaig as a first dram and did not buy another bottle of peated for years! Then, I tried a Jura, a Springbank, a Talisker, a Caol Ila, and an Ardbeg. Today, I am ready to try the Lagavulin 8! In Virginia, in June 2024, a bottle of Lagavulin 8 costs $67.
Goes to show that snobbery in in Scotch whisky is mostly bullshit, people are so hung up on chill filtration or colouring without actually paying attention to the quality of the actual product, reading a label is far easier.
This is something we have also realised over the last few years. Most people are very reluctant to buy whiskies that have been coloured or chill filltred. It is better to give every whisky at least a chance before judging it.
@@Whiskycom Exactly, thanks for the work and straight forward reviews! Looking to order some bottles from your website soon!
As of 2024 $250 and up here in Las Vegas. Every where.
I was sure that I would dislike this and other smoky whiskies, that is until I tasted it at a restaurant and got hooked immediately. It's like drinking a campfire with the addition of wet wood, amazing.
I've ventured out to many different scotch whiskies and The Glenlivet is always a must to return to. It's an absolute staple in my collection and I will never NOT have a bottle of The Glenlivet on in my collection!

In Scottish dialect, "muckle" means "big" and Muckle Flugga is presumably the more imposing of what appear to be two similarly sized islands on the map. I assume that the barrels are overwintered on Muckle Flugga to justify the creation of a brand that relies on the similarity of the name to the naughty swear word "mother47cker" (replace the 4 with F and the 7 with U).
Man, the label visible in the left side of the whole video, it easily can be read: three different T Y P E S of sherry cask. I have the same batch number, and the label on the bottle said the same, three types of sherry cask, so not 3 identical casks...
I almost disliked the video because of the ending --> too much talk about how would this whisky fit with coke. No. It is a cheap whisky but doesnt deserved to pair with coke, it is better than that, I dont really understand why did you talked about this topic that much, it's okay in case of jack daniels or jim beam but not this whisky. Just because it is cheap doesn’t necessarily mean it was intended to be used in a whisky and coke. Beside that, great video, cheers Horst!
my homies finished the bottle in 15 minutes
It tastes bitter like ash, didn’t like it at all.
I lived in Dallas-Fort Worth for over a decade…climate wise, imagine normal trees, grass, etc, but turned slightly brown and dry from millennia of evolution. Some of the trees can burn you on contact. Fire ants get everywhere. There are cicadas in the trees, tiny geckos might invade your apartment. You might see buzzards, armadillos or bobcats at the parks. Everything is highways, if you’re used to suburbia, highways really encroach on that feeling. It always feels dry or uncomfortably humid. Winters are nothing, barely an inch of snow if that, and all the already insane, road-ragey Texas drivers lose their minds and go skidding around. 😂 Socially, the area I lived in was a lot of rich white people running things, complaining about the border while relying on the labor of a huge international immigrant community. People move there from all over the world because there’s so much money in the area. Even if you’re at the poverty line like I was, everything is still newer and more expensive than in other cities. There are suburban mega churches with Starbucks in the lobby, 25 foot video screens so all the worshippers can see the preacher, and collections taken away by armored van, surrounded by apartment complexes full of middle class and poor people just trying to make rent. Oh, and almost no one has a southern accent or dresses like a cowboy, unless you get really deep into the rural country areas. Yeah, apologies, lotta strong feelings about my years there. 😄
Another Texas distillery that makes very well-balanced bourbons is Still Austin. All their bottlings are quite good and lacking in any notable harshness, even their cask strength whiskies. They use only locally-grown grains too. Highly recommended.
Nice one, great video!
Boring taste.
Very interesting, what a beautiful location to see too!
Glad you enjoyed it!
did I hear wrongly? Fattercain set for 100k?! 😅
No, the set really costs around 100k😅
This is wonderful news for me hehe
We look forward to your first order 😁
It smells like paint thinner is such a stupid thing to say , it does not smell of paint thinner at all, it smells like all whiskeys smell thats of whiskey .
More Horst.
Delicious! I found a couple of these beauties!! Lovely!! I agree with your review! Bang on!! Cheers!

Loving the new style of content!
I love this whiskey.. I alwags go back to this!
Understandable 😄
$115 before taxes in Canada. That’s quite high as better scotch is definitely available for that price. If it was $80 before taxes I’d be happier! The bump to 43% is nice! Very! I love the scotch whiskies in this blend!!

Kein Schottland, Keine Party! Good luck for the rest of the tournament 🇩🇪🏴🤝
They made it looks so cheap on that design.. the old one is much better and look expensive.
