The fact is most are not pleasant they think if you smile at them you want them . They don’t understand we are just being nice and don’t want something from them . That is called home training. The other part yes there encounters with some men have been unpleasant and they judge all of us the same . The fact is on both sides need to work at being nice to each other. I am reading Salvation black people and love by Bell Hooks. I came across this statement about school integration. " When our black schools were closed down we were forced to integrate predominately white schools situated far away from our neighborhoods, it caused tremendous psychological depression. Regarded as a 1st class citizen in our beloved schools we were no bussed to schools where we were treated as 2nd class citizens where white teachers saw us as inferior, as savages, incapable of being their equals. Few black people had foreseen that equal access to educational institutions would not have a positive impact if within those newly integrated classrooms black pupils would be taught by teachers perpetuating racist stereotypes, who encouraged us to feel shame and hatred for our race. Often the most well meaning white teachers still held racist attitudes which they expressed openly. When my well-meaning supportive white female drama teacher told me no black man would ever love me because I was "too smart" she did no see herself as perpetuating a racist stereotype about black males. Once we left our all-black schools, gifted black male students disappeared. They had always been visible in our all-black schools. At home our parents talked about this unfair treatment of black males; racist white folks simply did not want gifted white girls sitting next to black boys."

Hey, Donna. You are 100% right! Integration really messed us up because it was not reciprocal. Instead of fixing up schools in our neighborhood, as you accurately state, they bussed us out. They made and kept our buildings inferior, and also our books. That's why, to this day, our talented scholars will choose Princeton and Yale over Spelman and Morehouse. Our athletes will choose Duke over Hampton, etc. You are 100% correct. Thanks for posting, as always. You need to drop a book.

Every election, candidates have to pledge allegiance to Israel. Black people get hip hop artists and pastors telling us to vote democrat, but not once do we demand anything (reparations, venture capital funding for black owned tech firms, etc.). Biden tells us "if you don't vote Democrat, then you ain't black" and Kamala just makes PSAs for the ratchet BET awards - and they give us stimulus checks - and we are sold on voting democrat. Yet, 60 years after the "Civil" rights movement, we are still disenfranchised while illegal Mexicans get amnesty at a cost of $800M per year. Yet, a 1-time payout of $1T is too much.

While I think there’s some nuance in the Dune movies (Paul is not portrayed as a “good person”, IMO), there’s not a story that will satisfy everyone in terms of representation. I think we just need more voices in cinema from all communities sharing their perspective. Screw the Hollywood algorithm, which leads to homogenization.

Don't forget about the woman that went on 1 date with a man. He gave her his Netflix account and she's had free Netflix for the past 7 years! It's his fault for giving out his Netflix password, but also shows she has no morals. She is willing to leach off of a man she went on 1 date with and is willing to use his account as opposed to paying $13 dollars for Netflix.
