Awesome!! New subscriber here!! Have mine on layaway and get it in September!!
I am quite new to fd and I realize that my question isn't related to what your taking about but I'm a senior and don't know how else to contact you. I bought both cookbooks pdf form and the everything you want to know about freeze drying. very interesting however I purchased a stay fresh and I know from your other videos that you have a stay fresh, is there no way for you to do a book on it as well? also I notice in the recipe books I don't have time & temps only the number of hours it ran...I'd like to know this information...thank you
ABSOLUTELY UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES UPDATE YOUR HARVEST RIGHT FREEZE DRIED FIRMWARE IF YOU MACHINE IS CURRENTLY WORKING! Just attempted that and now I have a $4000 brick. I have been on the phone and email back and forth with a rep, with multiple attempts to update, no go. Anyone have this problem? I cannot believe this!!!!!!!!!!!
I have also noticed that every MH ingredient list has MSG too.
Can you taste the corn flavor?
Should add not to tip demister upside down and to not lose the o ring.
"Just hang in there. We're gonna do this together!" haha. Love it! Thanks for making great videos.
Ours be here Tuesday. I can’t wait.
We love the content! My husband gave me two of the cook books for Christmas.
love this show...Question....instead of adding all that water with bulion to the trays , could you not freeze dry the bullion and other spices then powder it and add like a tsp or however chickeny you like your soup and then just add the water when you highdrate ? would that not cut down dry time? also could you put salt, sage etc in the jar without freeze drying it? I'm very new to this only got my machine a few weeks ago so I'm not sure about adding anything thats not freeze dried....thanks
so my large Harvest Right freeze dryer does not have an area that says "frozen" or "not frozen" Is this a new update to the firmware? I heard that HR doesn't like you to skip the freezing process?
This is good. Pls what is the best freeze dryer to buy now that will last in Nigeria.
I didn’t like them. Not crunchy, just moisture sucking in the mouth. I put them under the broiler before FD.
have you tried coconut water already? thank you
Could you use pickled beets? Bread and Butter pickles. Pickled asparagus. Pickled okra. I am just brainstorming.
I just put a temperature controller in my traeger I put it all back together the auger won't bring out the pellets
I just put a new temperature controller in my traeger when I put it all back together my auger didn't go to bring the pellets out that are burned power
What? I've been changing after EVERY batch.
If you have a premier pump (green one), you are good for 25+

Corn nuts is a great snack. Need hard teeth, and good backed up dental work!
Hello Brian, When you put you bag in your sceller machine, do you put absorber?
Ho hos are made by a different company. They are still sold by drakes.
Can you please share the link for the capsule maker? Thank you.
How do you keep track of cycles to know when to filter?
There is a dial.on the filter for keeping track of time and you can also set a cycle reminder on the freeze dryer.
@@live.life.simple. thanks. I will have to look for the dial. The freeze dryer always tells me I have completed 2 cycles. That doesn't change. Better drag out the instruction book 😁
I've been also getting can't process vacuum message. I also been getting condensation on the window and rubber, when its on freezing mode. I also noticed the temp keeps going up then down 1 or 2 degrees, then go back up. Are these issues normal?
😂 I've learned so much from YOU and your channel ❤
That's awesome!
Want to know what shredder you use
Can you tell me the difference between the Gen 3 Freeze Dryer and the Pro Model Freeze Dryer?
I think you're onto something here..
Maybe air fry them first to get a little crunch on the outside?
I'm a newbie and i just purchased your book today and i ordered my Harvest Right Pro this past Thursday, my question is when you change the oil, do you have to wait a length of time to reuse that oil that was just cleaned and if so how long to wait for it to finish filtering, and should i have more oil if it takes a while to finish filtering. Also is there a certain way to store the oil that was filter, and i chose like you in this video to use new oil. Sorry for being long winded, lol
What are the dimensions of the table that the small dryer sits on and the brand name?
Everclear.
Love it
Do you have a newer video on cheese?
Great video!
Lots of things here are fat; like the yogurt, butter to cook it, the cream (if you added any). How long will this last in a FD state before going bad?
try taking the skin and fat off and I think you will have better results
This does not have to do with this vid, but we are getting severe moisture on our door as we are in the freeze drying process, i have to put a shaver pan to collect the water coming off the door any suggestions ? Thank you, the funnel works awesome
For the freeze dried hominy... I'm going to try this but season with smoked paprika, garlic powder, maybe a touch of onion powder...Can't wait to try! Thank you for the idea!
You got it!
I open the door all the way when loading. It cuts on the aggravation of it coming back to close. Looked like you had the room to open it all the way. Where do rank this snack 1-10?
I give it a 6
Grew up eating hominy 50 or 60 years ago as a common side for supper, I'll have to try that looks good.
Alcohol abuse
Answers to all my questions! THANKS!
I just freeze dried hominy. It’s good
39 hours for a small batch of food is insane
I thought the "scrambled eggs" were cooked eggs. Those are just raw mixed eggs
You can also cook them scrambled, Freeze dry and rehydrate
Look at the can... It will be either white or yellow corn/hominy. So... the color is not dependent upon the cooking method, it's entirely dependent upon the color of the corn kernels. Edit: Some things simply can't be replicated in the freeze dryer. You could get a good copycat version by baking it in a large air fryer with a minimal spritz of oil.
If you broil the hominy prior to FD’ing it , you’ll get crunch and it won’t fall apart. I can’t take credit, Chez Gave us the secret to keeping them crunchy back in March. 😃👍
Cool. Wonder if air frying for a short time would work
I was wondering the same thing about the air fryer@@live.life.simple.
@@live.life.simple. , I’m not sure, but it can’t hurt to try. I did try the broil first method and it did work. They’re not super hard like cornets but they’ve got a crunch to them rather than the powdery “Mouthful of cornmeal” texture that you get without it. Let us know how the air drying works because it’d be not as hot as broiling in the summertime. * If you do try the broiling method, you need to have only a single layer when broiling, otherwise you kick too much steam up into the upper kernels from the lower kernels. Kinda like when you brown too much meat in a pan at once and it all goes gray instead of actual browning. 😃
