Thank you! I use ChiaoGoo needles for my socks, the 9" circulars US1 or US2 (2.25mm or 2.5mm), and I like both the bamboo and the metal version (: Hope this helps!

Oh bird by bird is so amazing; have you heard of the artist's way? I have done it before doing Bird by Bird and it was great to deal with perfectionism and creating a routine to clear inner critic voice. Also Italian Summer Scarf was so relaxing for me as well, better than other small scarf where it's harder to keep track of rows.

OK last note! It's absolutely not self centered to like your own work! Everyone should like the work they produce no matter if it has faults, there is improvements to be made etc. Everything is a learning experience and the joy of creating and making something you are proud of should come hand in hand with making!! I feel so disheartened when I see artists talk down their work and only point out what could be wrong with it! Glad you feel so good about what you wrote and would love to read it once its finished and in store :DD

And I agree, I'm trying to ignore the impulse to see myself as self centred, because with all the uncertainty of creative work and especially around reception + payment of it, there are so many things outside of our control, and if we only use those parameters to make making "worth it" it becomes so... volatile? I’m so happy for you Hannah and I’m wishing you and your book all good things but you’re so right that making something you’re happy with is more than enough to be proud of. It was also great to see your Friday Slipover! I love the color. I watched at work so no knitting got done but I will share I recently finished listening to None of This Is True and it’s a very good suspenseful but not scary book- it’s kinda creepy though!

I feel your pain on the cottage cardigan because I really wish I could extend my own champagne one, but it's near impossible with the double knit button band haha :DD So lovely to see your whole collection in one video like these, all the colors and textures are scrumptious!

I'm doing the stocking,too. I'm not good at short row heels and it didn't turn out well. So I'll doctor on it later. I got behind doing that,but will catch up today. Love it so far.
