  Hey! Not sure if you’ll ever see this, but your words definitely resonated with me. I’ve been trying to get an ALT job in Japan since 2019. Got rejected 3 times by JET (applied in 2019, 20, and 21, didn’t ever make it to the interview stage) and only just now finally got accepted by interac, after they put my application last year on hiatus. After nearly 4 years of struggling I was finally able to reach my goal (assuming things go smoothly and they don’t put my departure date on hold, fingers crossed lol). Definitely was pretty hard during those 4 years, lots of loneliness (especially recently) while grinding towards a goal I couldn’t relate with to literally anyone I knew. That being said, keep your head up!!! There were definitely many times I wanted to simply give up during my journey but I knew I’d hate myself and regret it so much in the future if I did. Keep your eyes on the prize, but still make sure to do what makes you happy along the way and treat yourself here and there. Can’t wait until you succeed and I can watch your next video about how you officially got your ALT dream job in Japan.
