I see some irish fans gloating about the stats against the Springboks saying "we beat the boks 4 out of the last 5, WOW". That is a very true stat that they love to cherry pick but here are some more stats that they dont like to cherry pick. The last 20 matches between the SA vs ire, SA won 11 out 20, Ireland have never won a series home or away against SA, SA has more victories against irleland home and away and lastly it took ireland 22 years to win against SA home or away. So i really dont see this as a "rivalry" when you look at those stats. recent victories have been narrowly scrapped by ireland and to celebrate each of those victories as if you won a trophy....it clearly shows which team is number 3 in the world.

🤔🤔🤔 Ireland have won 9 of the last 14 games V's SA since the sport became professional in Ireland.. I know we don't historically have a good rugby team but we have a smaller population than Johannesburg and Rugby is only the 4th or 5th biggest sport in the country... could be just a golden generation of players, only time will tell.. great games SA 👍

@@philbradshaw7650 well that's the beauty of sport ain't it. A smaller nation beating a bigger nation. Welldone and well played. I hope the visiting fans and players all enjoyed the spectacle that was experienced at both stadiums before, during and after the match. In S.A rugby is the number 1 sport, followed by Cricket then Soccer.

@@CaseyKCRichards What 😲🤣😂? S.A needs to improve?? Are you on something mate? We are back to back World Champs, so where do we need to improve? Don't you think the Irish with their golden generation need to improve? Clearly one win in S.A still has you guys believing that you are the best team in the world. Winning a series in NZ, a game against us in the group stages and now in S.A doesn't mean you are the best but means in the Northern Hemisphere maybe, not overall.

  • @jeffreykgatitsoe627

@CaseyKCRichards, you won a hard fought game and we lost to the better team on the day but this notion that because you beat us then and now and all of a sudden the back to back World Champs need to improve is not only silly but laughable. We are graceful in defeat, good on you, you won one match in S.A and are still the second best team in the world, Finish n Klaar. All this other talk is hogwash.

Well let's analyze that. SA definitely let you know when they win, but what's very clear is they also very quick to congratulate the opposition. After the game Ireland got a standing ovation from the crowd. Ireland were not quick to congratulate SA in this series for hosting, and Rassie was picked apart last week by Irish fans for waiting 1min20 seconds before saying how good the opposition is. Second the Irish were the ones who started this by laying claim to be the best in the world, without playing the newly re-crowned world champions. That's very disrespectful of the world cup, and the Boks. Judging by the South African comments they appreciated the game although saddened by the loss. So your comment is really exactly what you accused SA of....bad spirit of the game.

Regardless of disallowed trys or gifts or whatever. I don't expect a thrashing at all. SA beat us fair and square and that's why they're world number 1 but Ireland aren't bad.
