Great tutorial! Just so happens that I'm making a panel quilt, and quilted the center panel with spirals. So, feather #2 with the spiral motifs will decorate the border. Thank you!

You're adorable! I was lucky enough to have met you! The Rhododendron Quilt Guild in Florence, Oregon invited you to our guild several years ago. You were so kind and so talented! I hope you're doing well...

I rather keep it as one piece, not two pieces sewing together, NO, NO , NO !

When Pin Basting, I first think about How I am Quilting the Sandwich together...then I pin, trying to make sure that I don't pin where I will be sewing... of course, there will be the odd pin to remove as I am sewing... but this allows me to keep my curved pins in the quilt, the whole time I am sewing...then I remove all the pins after all the quilting has been done.

A rolled hem foot would be wonderful on those edges. It would make sewing them so much easier

Hello, still not certain which batting to use for my first wall hanging. It is a collage with many pieces in the background, and foreground. I'd like it to be stiff for a nice straight, somewhat stiff wall hanging. Because of the pieces on the top, I will quilt this with lines close together; thus given this information, would you recommend mid poly? Would cotton be to light and have to soft of a hand for a wall hanging? Thank you for your thoughts.

Thanks for the video. Great explanations. Had no idea there are so many choices. Yesterday I was putting a lap size quilt top together with some 80/20 batting. I was in pannick mode as I didn't know whether a single layer of batting would be enough. When I googled to search for an answer found your video. I'm fairly new to quilting and never used other than the traditional poly for baby quilts. I decided to use two layers. So far it's doesn't seem to bad, a little weighty but it will be warm. Perhaps a video on when and how to use mulitple layers for rookies like me. Watching you from Ontario, Canada. Thank you.

Thank you , I've been making these items for oncology patients that sit all day with Iv's, and Kidney dialysis IV patients, post op surgery patients, and stroke patients- Just drop them off at your local healthcare facility, Children love them as well for IV sites and tummy, knee boo boos, ....they are appreciated almost anywhere! I have been using rice and lavender flower buds and know that the fragrance will dissipate after awhile. If you make an inner and outer bag, you can message some therapeutic grade essential oil on the palms of your hands and message into the inner pillow, leaving the outer case to be washed. We can do this!!! Ill try some of the beads as well...Your the best Rob!!!

I disagree with the majority of these comments. I think you're making it difficult for us.. maybe because I'm a SPERT. My Mother was a gifted seamstress, designer, etc. I've been sewing since the age of 10.
