    funny thing is... people have tested these with separate desiccant packs out on the fill whip, and those come out dry... seems to do a good job pulling the humidity out at the intake. While filling your gun up in a low-humidity environment (AC'd room, closet with a dehumidifier, doing what you did, ect) will make your dry pack last longer, it's not necessary. Would like to see that contraption hauled out and used in the field lol. BTW, a "dessicant" is a compound that readily draws and holds large amounts of moisture... silica gel/beads would count.

    You need to use the wire that has the 1/4 inch square holes, using the normal chicken wire is a recipe for disaster, I raise hundreds of quail. Raccoons,rats and other predators will get them through that, especially rats they can fit through the holes and will kill quial

    I don't think you did anything wrong... it's nature... that's how it works sometime ! If I may, last year my wife calls for me that there's a ground hog in the drive, I go out, it's there not moving, I tapped it with my foot, it barely moved, shallow breathing... it's dying. I get my HW97, put one in the cranium. It may have been 2-3 months old, bout 6" long w/no visible trauma, it just fell ill. Stuff happens ! Not your fault.

    Great video, thanks for sharing. So how did you find out you had moisture in your reservoir? I' not having any performance issues with my Impact MK2 .30 but living in Florida near saltwater, I am concerned that I may be getting moisture when using my "shoebox" compressor. My filter's media (cotton) doesn't ever seem to have excess moisture on it after filling, but I don't know if the airflow is bypassing the media around the walls. When I bleed the compressor, a few drops drain out but never a lot. I added an extra inline filter (one of the gold ones), but I've read that those don't work very well and that a vertical oriented filter with a means of draining the moisture via a valve in a better choice. Any thoughts?

  • @dalehumphrey4264
    @dalehumphrey42642 жыл бұрын

    i seen the moisture when i removed the bottle from my gun so if you turn the barrel up so the air bottle is facing down when you remove it youll see the moisture either on the bottle or where it insert to the gun i use the same filter you mentioned but i only fill the gun with it and not a big bottle i also keep it in the freezer the silicate works much better on cold air but make sure you take the o ring out before you put it in the freezer pull it out place the oring and itll work great

    What do you think you need penetration power? I feel like you want the round to dump the energy into a animal. And bigger pellets/slugs aren’t as affected by wind. I went with the .25 sniper…. And either way, it doesn’t take much to change caliber. That’s the beauty in these rifles… extremely modular and tunable. Thanks for the video 🤙🤙
