  100%, the title is just regarding the status effect but compared to the last boss he is absolutely much easier, it's just a matter of not eating those wide swings.

  First time making my way through Abyssal Woods, I really got a horror vibe from this area - all the messages telling you to *not let them see you* , *fear* or *try stealth and hide* had me crouching thru the bushes and accidentally touching one of the bell flowers, that gives away your hideout and the lantern guys detect you... That was some experience 😅

  It was the first time I felt true horror in a Froms game and not just anxiety. Did you try summoning your Steed in there? The extra message you get when you try is a perfect touch.

  For me golden parry didn't work. I had to go with the regular parry skill.

  My timing on parry sucks so I used Golden because it has extra timing in it, but maybe you're just better with a regular parry?

  Definitely one of the more difficult bosses I've seen. Nice clear. I could only imagine how annoying it would be without summons for help.

  His entire army is an absolute pain to deal with. So freaking agile, they have like infinite Stamina. Messmer looks really cool, I can see why they picked him as the statue, but he is no where near the difficulty of Milena so it's pure vanity.

  After beating the boss of Castle Ensis, follow the cliff on the West (Left) side. You'll reach the Scadu Altus, West grace which overlooks the fort. Follow the cliff further West (You'll see a broken bridge overhead) and look down, there are ledges you can jump down to that will eventually lead you to this part of the fort. Once you clear this area, there is also a ladder that heads further down with several enemies manning fire turrets.

  Nah, as is usual with old Greg. It seems like there might be 8 fights, and one of them (according to trophies) will be the actual mission "Battle on the Big Bridge".

  Ha, it's very like you to go Paladin to fight Bahamut. You must have practiced a lot because you took so little damage in this fight. How many fights are left for you to complete before you've done them all?

  This is actually Knight, Paladin has a different ability which heals you when you deal damage while eating your MP, it's not my favorite. After WoL I'm officially done with the first DLC. Just cheesing out some gear and seals now before I jump into the next one.

  I can tell a few practice runs went into that fight. You knew which mechanics were coming as it appeared very clean. Nice work. It was good to see at least one status effect added to the game, freeze. It's very powerful from an outside perspective. No love for Titan mode though huh? He doesn't seem to be used much in videos.

  I had him at about half health both times he one-shotted me, so yea, I knew what those moves would look like which made it easy to avoid. Freeze is super powerful, there's the momentary one, which just requires a second dash to contact and freeze any enemy; then there's the Precision Dodge freeze which lasts much longer. Add those after the Time Stop effect of Rift Slip and you give yourself as much time as you need to do as much damage as possible and get all your abilities out. The Freeze also stops the stagger gauge from filling up giving you more time to make use of the damage multiplier. Titan is a counter stance, perfect block and you can counter with 3 hits, but I'd rather just use his ability which does the same and rips through the stagger gauge.

  Holy frame drops man. They need to fix this before the full release of the game. It had to have been in the low 20s or upper 10s of frames during parts of that Eikon fight. I also noticed a lot more motion blur in this video compared to the first. The story from what I can gather looks to be interesting and new for final fantasy. However, to be completely honest, the music is not exactly what I expected out of Soken. Maybe its just my taste, but the music just sounds average at best.

  I'm admittedly playing in Quality mode here, but think when I play the actual game, I'll go performance for better/smoother gameplay and framerate. The story looks good, though I'm excited to see what other songs might show up, I wouldn't expect to hear Soken's best work in a demo.

  So what are your thoughts on this game/demo? To me it has the atmosphere and lighting of a Resident Evil Remake title with an obvious inspiration from Fromsoftware. It looks like it could be fun for a Souls fan like you. Two things that stood out to me that was a little immersion breaking was how your shirt would become dirty and quickly become clean a few seconds later. I noticed it every time. Also, the distinct lack of music. It had more of an ambiance instead, but it felt too quiet for me.

  The lack of music is inspired by From and how Bloodborne was all ambiance until a fight broke out with a boss, so I'm used to that. I think the game is still early and there will be more they'll do. The clothing thing is minor for me, it's cool that it gets dirty, but there's a costume factor and there are times I like to see my costume and not just the blood and grime I'm covered in. My opinion is that they went for a Bloodborne x Bioshock and it's close enough to be exciting but unless they update the AI on enemies a bit, it's going to be much easier than any of the From games.

  That fight seemed easier than others you've posted. It was full of spectacle, sure, but I am surprised with how boring it kind of was. Maybe you just made it look easy.

  Vader was slower in his attacks and attack patterns for sure, but the sheer damage he does with any individual hit made him a menace. The biggest issue with playing at this difficulty and posting the videos where I succeed is you don't get to see the countless deaths or the ferocity of the moves that kill me if I get caught by them once. For instance, in this fight, I knew already that I needed to dodge away after getting my hits because his 2-hit counter constantly killed me. Or in the last part of the fight, he does an unblockable strike, that is followed up by 4 regular strikes. I avoid them here but in previous attempts, I expected he'd be open after the unblockable and ate the combo to the face. 😅

  What's to thank? That pet was trying to kill me before I overrode it, and if I accidentally do enough damage to him, he will switch sides in the middle of the fight with no second thoughts. He's my boy though.

  @@soulgamer-29 Estoy usando Tengen Kujaku, que tiene Sensores para Enemigos, Kodama, Tesoros y Amrita. Es dificil soltarlo. De esa manera puedo enfocar mis rasgos de armadura en cosas más útiles.

  Different Devs, I might actually enjoy it based on the whole Souls-like combat, but bad voice acting and story will make me choose to just rush through it so I can get it over with, like Callisto Protocol. I'll wait til it's cheap though, or free. I love Nioh, I actually took a break from this to play GoW, but this one is much easier than the first.

  I agree with the RE/The Last of Us comparisons based upon viewing this little sequence, but it still does have that Dead Space vibe with Telekinesis. I did laugh when the first zombie creature spazzed out into the floor. It'll be nice when development tools will be able to prevent such things entirely.

  @@kavlar3 I dropped my Strength in order to pump my Vigor up to 50. Despite dropping my Strength by about 22 points, it only dropped my actual attack by 19 on my shortbow and 70 on my Greatbow. Well worth it as this video shows, I'm not a dodge god so thos few times I got hit were wiping me out completely.

  Yeah, Mimic Tear is amazing, but for some reason he instantly dies in this room. Dealing with Scarlet Rot is the worst. Funny enough they just released a patch today that changes the Mimic's Strategy and reduces it's damage output.

  @@kavlar3 Psh!!! I went 40 hours with low stats without using spirits, I can function without them now that I'm higher level. It's just entertaining to see myself lay the smackdown twice.

  The Axeman method is for all or nothing fights where I can't get hit once. I use the wolves when I need a nimble enemy to be distracted/ interrupted, but they can't handle aggressive enemies with AoE attacks. Ancestral Follower is more durable and alternates between axe and bow so he's easy to bounce hate with on slower moving enemies.
