Sorry, I don't have full video. I only brought one camera and would switch between taking stills and video... and a lot of the audio is me making dumb small talk with the people around me.

Late last summer. I believe the park is now completely open. I can yell you it was one of my favorite parts of the trip. Everything is so pretty.

The valley is amazing, but between the buffalo and the grizzly, a bit scary.
@greg5r03 жыл бұрын
Not gonna lie, the grizzly had me stopped in my tracks when I first encountered the dude, but once he was pretty far away I thought, "Oh, I should be filming this!"... for most of the bison I was behind or ontop of car... although that one guy behind the bush kind of snuck up on me....

Hey Greg. I have a question. To get to these view points can you drive there or do you have to take a shuttle ? I haven't been in 30 years and have some overseas friend coming in October and want to be able to show them these view points. Thanking you in advance.
@greg5r05 жыл бұрын
To get to the points in this video, (Mather Point & Yavapai Point) You do NOT need to take the shuttle, in fact these two locations are really close to the visitor center where you can park and get on the shuttle from there. There are several viewpoint that you will need the shuttle for (most of stops west of this location for most of the year) but this viewpoint, and many of the viewpoints east of here you can travel to in your own car and park. Have a great trip.

This was taken in October. Chilly in the morning and evenings, perfect during the afternoon. The canyon gets warmer the further down you go. It is a really pretty spot that is hard to capture in video. Have a great time.
