The wonderful playing of Ralph Sauer, the G-d of trombone playing when there was just a handful of recordings of great trombone artists.

Spectacular Job. This was an inspirational video with a lot of creativity and the ending was unmatched and probably expensive to recreate.

Thank you! That ending was a result of my FPV quad failsafing. As luck would have it, and probably the fact that the quad was so well built, the only damage was a broken ND filter on the camera and some dirt in the motors. I was flying the next day. Haven't always had that much luck though.

First movement too fast. Lindberg does it at a more appropriate tempo. In fact, all of it is too fast and somewhat pretentious.

You're entitled to your own opinion, of course. I actually like it better than Lindberg's recording. Just my opinion.

More than 40 years since this was recorded, and still about the best trombone playing I’ve ever heard. For my mind, no one has ever produced a cleaner and more balanced trombone sound.

I put this recording on KZread at the behest of Mr. Sauer. A CD of this recording is included with his edition of the 6 Bach Cello Suites originally published by Williams Music Publishing. The CD consists only of the entire Bach Cello Suite number 1 which is also represented in this video, though the CD has a different track for each movement.
