Its now 2024, and, alas, the worldwide "mineral race" arrived here,😢...nothing is sacred anymore, not ancient historical sites of national significance,or our precious biodiversity that make Matauri bay,the islands of Motukawanui,Motukawaiti,ie The Cavallis, unique in Aotearoa, treasures/taonga ... Taonga that should be protected . Our moana and ngahere are being altered, changed,by humans....its up to ALL of us, every human on this planet,to be Kaitiaki. We need to Kotahi in our beings,as humans, and stop seperating/dividing ,by colour, race, creed, religion, culture, and work together, united by our connection to nature, where we have all come from, which is so vital to our wairua, hauora ,spiritual ,health, wellbeing. So,cultivate awareness of whats happening to this stunningly beautiful, special place, to preserve its uniqueness ,for all,and especially our tamariki, and moko,s,grandchildren. Forget blame, endless negative korero, just be a kaitiaki within your soul, and help anyway you can. I certainly need help,as kaitiaki of the peninsular ... im 65,and sometimes pulling, slashing invasive weed species, like pampas, milkweed,in particular is so overwhelming i just want to scream at every lazy ,dont give a rats arse about the whenua,,or talk about it instead of doing any mahi,,etc, person of this. hapu. Im imploring anyone that truly cares for Matauri, the Cavallis, please ,please protect it from anyone, and i mean anyone, who direspects this whenua, and moana. Dont be fooled by korero, just do it, even if its picking up plastic rubbish from our beaches,or pulling out weeds. ,or keeping a "watch out" for any activity, that will harm this Taonga, this unique coastal paradise. 👌💖❤️‍🩹

The people from Easter island came to NewZealand once Easter island started to become overly full . These were the red haired people there were 64 of them on the first trip and all there names are still known in song they were the wiaterha people's and originally bread with the Polynesians that came to NewZealand and then killed out and the final people's were shot when the moari got guns ,there are still some of these people hiding out in the port hill around Christchurch

I am not a keen follower of religion. But the maori chiefs were very grateful for the missionaries bring Christianity to them and teaching them not to use utu and mutu to settle every dispute. Read the notes of the Kohimara conference
