Great version! But I prefer the excitement of the original: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oH2iu9Vsk7K-YrA.html (listen all the way through - it'll be worth your time!)

How is it possible that at any tempo this music is still exhilarating. Bach understood the secret laws of rhythm and harmony that touch the human heart.
A class of his own. No comparison allowed. Fantastic!

The first movement is probably the most famous out of this genius concerto, but it’s the third movement that really sticks with me. Sure, It still follows that classic Bach concerto form, but it deviates into uncharted territory at 14:09 with those badass left hand chords, and it seems that Bach was bursting at the seems with ideas for this melody, as throughout the piece Bach brings so many diverse ideas to the table, all based on that one catchy melody. Bach was, assuredly, a genius.

This is slowly becoming my favorite version of Chaconne. Aside from his impeccable technique and musicality, the instrument is a wonder itself - it just sounds, idk, fuller and more complete than any other guitar. The bass punches deep and the treble especially has a crystal clear quality that I've never heard before on a guitar. We need more Brahms guitar performances!

There are people who have never heard it, but there is no one who has heard it only once. This is the best performance created with just 8 strings

the orchestra is not the best for such a genius, it would have needed perfection like Herreveghe
Wonderful recording!
Glenn Gould plays Bach - nec plus ultra.
Simply excellent!
You can adjust the metronome and it stays together. Unbelievable since it’s a live recording.

Stupendous music and playing.
