There's more than one way to invest in real estate. Here are some options to think through ⤵️ 1. House Hack: Probably one of the easier ways to start investing in real estate. Purchase a primary home and rent out the remaining rooms to either cover your mortgage or make cash flow on the home. It's not meant for everyone but a great way to reduce your monthly rent while building equity! 2. Rental Properties: Purchasing single family homes or townhouses to rent out on yearly leases. Make sure that if the home is in an HOA that this is allowed and check to see if they have restrictions against short term rentals too. 3. Well if people want to avoid PMI they will need at least 20%!!! SO yeah I would say a minimum of 10K cash AND 20% for down payment. So for example with a 200K house I would need a minimum of 30K!!! And that is just the minimum!!!! In my case I think about 40K cash would the best because now I can have 20K for the house repairs/ other cost plus the other 20K for down payment....
Thanks for you comment Donald! There are a couple of 100% financing loans that some of my clients used that have no PMI but of course that will lead to higher monthly payments than if they had the 20% down. That's awesome that you've saved so much!
