  For Viewers: 1) For cleaner starting topology: Subdivide a Cube instead of creating a sphere. (Hint: If you want a perfect sphere: Subdiving a Cube is not enough. Apply the "Spherify" Modifier too) 2) If you have a clean Reference: Use Alt+X to make your object transparent without having to go into Wireframe mode. 3) Ruff Shapes first, then details. 4) Cage your details. (0:49) Make sure to keep the edgeflow in mind. 5) Use the "Shell" Modifier only after you have completed the ruff shapes. 6) Turbosmooth will round off some Details. (1:25) You do not need to create all details and then Turbosmooth (Or Subdivide) all at once. If you are done with the ruff shapes, you can Turbosmooth with 1 iteration and refine the details with more geometry to work with. 7) FFD 2x2x2 lets you adjust the ruff shape of your premade details (1:30) and FFD 4x4x4 lets you easily curve flat details so they fit your shape. (You can do the same with Conform for flat details at a long distance or using the "Skinwrap" Modifier using a plane) 8) The final result must not be a single piece. Floating geometry is okay and safes on Geometry. (2:00) 9) The Relax Modifier (2:19) can give you smoother curves easily.
