K9 Clipz - Dog Grooming tips

K9 Clipz - Dog Grooming tips

Home based dog groomer with 17+ years experience shows unedited footage of the full dog grooming process without any restraints!

In my dog grooming business, my clients drop off their dogs for grooming and return and hour later to pick them up. I do not kennel or restrain them at any time. The videos that I make are the full groom of all the dogs.

I also do not hand pick only the best behaved dogs that stay still or are calm. You will see many dogs who are well behaved, nervous, nippy, resistant, aggressive and everything in between!

I want to show you how dogs really act when being groomed so that it will help you hopefully with your dog.

Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy the videos. Please SUBSCRIBE to my channel.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions for videos you would like to see!

Ugh would be such a decent dog if they would bother to train him. Such a shame. I sound like a broken record repeating myself but idc. It’s getting pretty nauseating how badly behaved so many people’s dogs are lately. Grooming is a team effort between owner and groomer… not groomer only… DO YOUR PART AT HOME PEOPLE!!! STOP MAKING YOUR GROOMERS GO TO WAR JUST TO PROVIDE A SERVICE!!

Hello and good luck! I have several dogs who come to me who are older, and I never know what to expect with their behaviors due to their previous experiences with groomers. I have several holding techniques that I use that I find work with all dogs, but of course, I need to adapt to the dogs needs. I would recommend going on my channel and viewing some of the difficult doggie groom videos on my playlists. In those videos, you can see the variety of techniques I use with my more resistant dog clients! I would love to hear how it goes for you! ❤️🐾😊

This is really helpful. I'm trying to keep my dog looking nice between trips to the groomer and he is sensitive about his legs, feet, and face too. He has nipped me a few times and I've never had that happen with a dog before so it was a shock and I stopped what I was doing so now he thinks he can get out of stuff by nipping so I'm trying to get him to cut that out. He's a 2 year old maltese/poodle mix. I'm used to having Yorkie mixes and they never nipped me. They were just super good dogs. Mocha is a good dog too, but he tries to get away with stuff. 😅 He behaves perfectly when you get him on a grooming table though. I had an amazing groomer back in my old city that did puppy grooms to get them used to grooming and teach them how to behave. All the dogs loved it there and she went from a small local business with just her and one other person to just being booked solid and needing to hire a bunch of employees. My dog I had that passed away a few years ago adored her and he only liked her for his groomer.

@pikagirl8224 Good for you for keeping your dog tidied up in between full grooms. But yes, any dog will try to get away with it if they can. If something has worked in the past, they will continue to build on it. It takes a while to break the bad habits, but with consistency and patience, your dog will become much calmer! Thanks for watching. If you want to see more holding g techniques that I use, check out the playlists I've created on my channel. 🐶🐾

My little schitzu poodle past a few months ago - but his black boogers were something I always stayed on top of. I'd use a thick opti-gel and get it softened up - I did this at least once a week if not more. Of all the breeds I've had, I really love this mix, and am on the lookout for another.

I'm glad you are enjoying them! I generally use thinning shears only when there is matting. Generally, I use them more often on the tails, ears, and sometimes even on the muzzle if the owner wants to keep it longer and it isn't too heavily matted. Good luck with your grooming adventures! I hope to hear more about them. 🐶🐾
