These are not practical examples. I want to play electric piano, let the MPC do the drums with fills and a beautiful ending whenever I want. Since I cannot play base gitar, this should be added by the MPC one at the correct key. This seems not possible, which makes the MPC useless. What I saw in the movie, any freeware sequencer can do.

Great video, very detailed and unique, very impressive, thank you! Now a question from a newbie to the expert: What would be the ideal way to connect : 1. MPC Key 37 with Focusrite Scarlett2i4 1(st or 2nd gen, not sure) and a Roland Integra 7? I sort have managed to get some results but what I am looking to do is as follow: 1. Play and be able to hear and record sound from the Integra into the MPC as a MIDI track 2. Play and hear and record the native sounds on the MPC as a plugin track 3. Plug in Guitar + microphone in the Scarlet and play/hear/record in the MPC 4. Overall be able to add different sources and record a multi-track and multi sources project 5. Sound would ideally come out of the Scarlet but direct from the PMC Phones output is fine and fine too from the Integra Phones output This is how I imagine the ideal setup of course, the goal is to combine sources and record them all together on a different track or even perhaps, combine and mix some together too Might be easy, but as you seem to like challenge, I thought I'd ask! Many thanks indeed! 😬

Thank you for the content it was very helpful to me and I’m sure many others. If I may through out 2 questions to my fellow MPC users. 1. The short question is how does the sequence event copy operate? I’ve been trying to combine multiple sequences into one and adding bars to the sequence anywhere within it and building that way within one sequence. 2. Can we automate in anyway a sequence bpm or global bpm (so the sequence plays back that bpm manipulation? I know the MPC has an LFO so was thinking maybe modulating the BPM with it if that’s possible😂. Thanks all and happy creating!
@OllieLoops3 ай бұрын
1. The MPC hierarchy is important in understanding how to work with the device. Notes live in sequences which live in projects. Notes can be copied and pasted with a sequence to duplicate them and make the sequence longer. And sequences can be copied to new sequences. 2. I’m not sure that the MPC has automated bpm changes. Sequences may be subject to the project BPM.

Regarding your request for a count-in at 14:39 it looks like the 4.04 firmware update may have added this? On my SP running 4.04 I can do the following: - Press Pattern Select - Press Resample and select a flashing pad - Press Shift + Pad 10 (Count-In) to loop through options: Wait, Off, 1Meas, 2Meas - Press Shift + Ext Source and change the routing to ExtIn, then hit Exit - Press a flashing pattern pad to start the count in before recording Optionally, just before hitting the pad to record I can also use CTRL 2 to set the number of measures to record to: 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, or infinity. I find this fixed length recording with a count-in really great when wanting to lay down a guitar or bass part over a beat. There’s no reason you couldn’t record guitar and put out music using this device. It’s basically the same as an audio interface but more portable and with built in effects.
