Hey Dr Claire! Your videos are amazing and really helped me change my outlook on the accessibility of health. I wanted to ask you, do you ever crave junk food/how often do you let yourself have it? Also, what keeps you motivated to eat so healthy? thank you :)
I love Teeccino and Jovial Pasta too! It's great seeing how your structure your days along with all your yummy meals! That avo toast looks epic =)
I’m enjoying the what I eat videos! May you explain the 3 detox phases? Maybe with a what I eat in a day for us more visual learners?
Love your videos!
So glad you like the videos!! Thank you so much for the comment!💚
Sono sempre così belli e ricchi di spunti i tuoi video!!! Grazie e un caro saluto dall' Italia 🤗😘
So glad you like the videos!!! Thank you so much for the comment!💚
Great video, do vitamins and medications such as vitamin iron and others benefit the body completely, and are there any harms if taken constantly?
So glad you like the video. So iron should really only be used in supplemental form if there is a identified deficiency, as there is harm in taking too much. With any supplementation it is bets to speak with your doctor to determine your needs! Hope that helps 💚
There are websites specialized in calorie counters for food, where you can search for a specific food that tells you the calories in it and the nutritional values of every 100 grams, as well as how to burn these calories, and also an explanation using graphs for nutritional values. Have you ever used a website like this? Are the data it provide correct and accurate so that it can be relied upon to increase the number of calories I eat per day, or someone wants to lose weight and burn calories.
Hi , Have a great day , l have a question : Are canned foods such as beans, chickpeas, peas, beans, tuna and sardines harmful to health or useless because they contain preservatives?
So when buying canned foods I always try to get ones that are in BPA free tins. When buying seafood I also look for ones that have been tested for mercury. With any canned food I always stay away from ones that include preservatives or unnecessary ingredients. Hope that helps 💚
Just wondering - Where did you get the jacket you're wearing at 21:37? It's so chic!
I got it from Aritzia, I will link it below! Link: www.aritzia.com/en/product/little-cropped-jacket/95337024.html?dwvar_95337_color=1274
Thanks for sharing your story ❤ I'm 47 years old and still trying to figure out what’s life all about. And that's oké, we should never stop learning 🙏🏻🦋
Yes, approaching life with a curios and open mind to learn is key!! Thank you so much for the comment!💚
Thanks for sharing 😊
You are so welcome!💚
Thank for being real. You are doing great, all at the pace you set, in due time it will work out. Great job and keep growing into yourself. I enjoy your vids and food ideas. Can you recommend a milk alternative for teens. 🫰🏼👌🏼🌟💜
Aww thank you so much for the comment! I truly believe that everything is working out in divine time! I am so glad that you like the content/ food ideas! For kids and teens the best milk alternative is going to be soy. It has the most similar macronutrient makeup compared to cow milk. I like the Soy milk from the brand Eden because it just has soy beans and water. Keep in mind that milk alternatives will have significantly less calcium than milk (unless fortified), so looking for ways to increase the child/ teens calcium will also be important. Hope that helps! Thank you so much for the comment!💚
Oooo program for us foreigners sounds fab 🎉
It has been something that I have been thinking about for a while, so I am so excited to share more about it when it starts to come together 💚💚💚
Love your content! ❤
So glad you like the content! Thank you so much for the comment!💚
Hi! I would love to hear your thoughts on PMDD and how to navigate that journey. I’m finding it quite difficult and discouraging. I also experience really painful periods. If you have any information or advice, that would be great. By the way, I love your channel and look forward to watching your videos every week.
I know that PMDD can be a very difficult diagnosis and a tough journey! I have had a lot of requests to make videos on PMS/ PMDD and HA, so I will try and make a full video on period health! So glad that you are liking the content, so happy to have you here! Thank you so much for the comment!💚
thanks for the reminder about your instagram! Following now <3 Also looking forward to hearing more from Girls gone wellness and listening to your podcast with them!
So excited for you to listen to the episode! It was a great conversation! Excited to have you join the community on instagram! Thank you so much for the comment!💚
I definitely have to try the cottage cheese chia seed breakfast! I don’t have time for instagram, but I love your channel - vlogs, what you eat, healthy living inspiration 🥰
Yes, I love the cottage cheese chia pudding! honestly probably a good thing. Instagram can be a huge time and energy drain😢! So glad you are liking the content! Thank you so much for the comment!💚
@@drclairelockridgend you are so welcome 🥰
Thank you so much for all this impactful knowledge! I was wondering what tips you{d recommend for those who work graveyard shifts
So glad that you liked the video! Shift work can be tough. If you work consistent shifts that is best (better than alternating day and night shifts). A few things that have been shown to help are consistent sleep/wake schedule, and the use of red light or bright light therapy. Andrew Huberman does have a podcast episode about shift work that I can link below! Hope that helps 💚 Link: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gHV1tqRuZdLelbQ.html
I know it takes a while for channels to get going sometimes, but I really feel like yours is going to get significantly bigger in the future!! Your content is always good and interesting to watch 😊
I hope so, but right now I am super grateful for the community we have built so far!! I am so glad to hear that you are enjoying the content! Thank you so much for the comment!💚
Love your idea of the hard stop at 6 pm!! Love my evenings free to do what's fun! I also love your chair on the deck!!
I definitely have to try the cottage cheese chia seed breakfast! I don’t do instagram, no time, but I love your channel - vlogs, what you eat, all of the healthy inspiration 💖
The hard stop at 6 pm has been a game changer, so. glad to hear it works for you too! Definitely took some mental reprogramming form years of being in school, but it has paid off. I know, the chair is amazing, it is my favorite place to sit in the summer☀️ Thank you so much for the comment!💚
What I eat videos are my favorites but I enjoy all of your videos. I’m curious about the benefits if the ice roller. Have you shared about that?
Glad to hear you like the videos! I like to use the ice roller for reducing puffiness int the morning, plus it feels great in the summer! Hope that helps 💚
@@drclairelockridgend it does help! Thank you 😊
This was great! Also, I loved your outfits!! 🤌🏻✨
So glad you like the video and the outfits ☺️ thanks for the comment💚

Who said your meals are boring? 😮 it's so colourful and delicious and pretty and healthy. I have to try the tuna salade :) Thank you Claire for this video ❤
It was so good! Thanks so much for the comment, you are so welcome for the video! 💚
Michelle! You’re almost at 1M! I still remember when your channel was called “my thoughts will probably offend you” lol
Cara Claire, grazie di cuore per esserti aperta in modo profondo e sincero, lo apprezzo molto e mi fa sentire meno sola nei miei "sbalzi emotivi" e di peso. Un abbraccio! 🤗😘
You are so welcome, so glad that you felt connected to the content! Thank you so much for the comment!💚
Ah this was great to watch as someone who is 22 years old & headed into their senior year of college! It sounds like you heard about naturopathic medicine at the perfect time in your own life, but I'm curious if you ever thought about taking time off after college before heading back to school. What were those four years like (e.g., courseload, schedule)? Aside from that, I would also love to see a video on toiletries/home products. I mainly look to the Environmental Working Group (EWG) which I believe is a United States org, but I'm always wanting to learn more about low tox reccomendations. Thank you for your vulnerability <3
So i did not consider taking time off. I knew that coming out of undergrad I was still in "school mode" and that it would be hard for me to get back into it if I took time off. But with that being said I think that taking time off can be very beneficial, especially if you are not 100% sure what you want to do. The 4 years in grad school were a lot more work than undergrad. I was in 9-11 courses per semester. Basically in school every day from 9-5, then studying outside those hours. I felt is was a lot more work than undergrad (and that is doing my undergrad and swimming 25 + hours per week!). I can definitely make more content on lower tox toiletries/home products. I also love using the Environmental Working Group (EWG) database. The toughest thing I find is finding products that are low tox, affordable and actually work! Thank you so much for the comment!💚
Returning to the comment sections to also say thank you for mentioning social life/struggles in your 20s. . . it's so real! While I'm in a good spot right now, I just wanted to emphasize how much I appreciated your honesty in this video.
Do you have a What I Eat in a day that includes a lot of potassium (recommended daily value)? It seems so difficult to eat 4,700 mg a day. But maybe I’m overthinking.
I don't have a video on that topic. I know that getting a lot of potassium can be challenging. I really like the NIH fact sheet on potassium because it gives a list of high-potassium foods! I will link that page below for a reference! Hope that helps 💚 Link: ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/Potassium-HealthProfessional/
@@drclairelockridgend thank you very much!
Thanks for sharing so openly! Sometimes when we see people on YT who seem to have something all figured out, it’s easy to assume they always have had it figured out and never struggled to get there. The context you shared provided a welcome reminder that we are all on our own journeys, and YT offers but a glimpse into someone’s life. Congrats on the progress you’ve made! 💜
You are very welcome! I definitely did always "have it all figured out" (and I really still don't!) So glad that you feel you got some value from the video! Thank you so much for the comment!💚
What a story!
💚💚💚
She’s cute and sweet, love this content. So inspirational and informative
So glad you like the content! Thank you so much for the comment!💚
Wow I can relate to your journey so much. Thank you for being so open about your path:) I might have missed it, but did you ever come off the pill and get back your cycle naturally? Something I am working towards😊
Yes, so I was only on the pill for a few months. I talked about it in the video but I had very irregular periods all though undergrad. I can talk more about it in another video! Thank you so much for the comment!💚
All respect to you ❤ great video 😊
So glad you liked the video! Thank you so much for the comment!💚
I believe a good relationship with ourselves in terms of finding inner love and being able to have a good healthy diet come with maturity that we can surely have but need a little more to find self esteem and confidence. I loved listening to this sit down video. Your picture from the thumbnail when you were a child is soooo cute ☺️☺️☺️☺️
I am so glad that you liked the video and the thumbnail! Thank you so much for the comment!💚
Thank you so much for sharing your story, especially for young people who think others are just confident all the time, it's important to know how much work we all have to do for our personal growth. My personal growth happens way later in life and I lived without taking responsibility for a long time. I graduated in my late 40s, separated from my husband and moved out with my 3 kids. I'm a working progress and at 55 I'm still trying to figure out what works for me and what makes me happy but this time I'm ready to put the work in it and find my routine for my own and my kids'benefit. Thanks again for being there and sharing your story xx
Thank you so much for sharing your story💚! I am so excited for the continued journey you and your kids will be going on! Sending you and your family all the support in the world💚
Can you talk more about your HA recovery
Yes, I can definitely talk more about that in future videos!
Bravo, Claire. Thanks for sharing so openly. I love your videos and I have to say as a retired post menopausal woman with t8me on he4 hands…I love watching your videos and learning from you
You are so welcome!! I am so excited that you are getting value from the videos! Thank you so much for the comment!💚
YAS THANK YOU!! I love eggs, but not sure if they’re lovin’ me… Can confirm - your recipes are not boring!! By no means! I honest to goodness do feel profoundly overwhelmed by all the information and recipes out there… and did not realize that was the problem. I Thought it was just me! Bless you 🥹 I am here for the content ( also the music, tbh every video it’s a real bop) so no pressure, but I hope you keep doing what your doing. It’s really helping ppl (me 😂)
You are so welcome! So glad to hear I am not the only ones that just likes to have the same staple meals! So glad that you are liking the content, I will definitely keep it up! Thank you so much for the comment!💚
Thank you for sharing your story. It's encouraging to see your journey to date and be inspired that change and progress is possible, with effort. I get a lot from watching your vlogs, and I'm new to the naturopathic world. Please keep it up! So helpful and practical.
Welcome to the world of Naturopathic Medicine, we are so excited to have you here! I am so glad that you liked and were able to connect with the video! Thank you so much for the comment!💚
@@drclairelockridgend Thank you!
That was wonderful of you to share your life with everyone🥰.I am sure there are young people out there that will not feel alone with their struggles after watching this. I am 59 years old, a retired nurse, and have been through so many struggles regarding food and eating. I am now finally at a point in life where I’m in the best physical shape and mental shape I have ever been in. I am passionate about cooking and preparing Whole Foods for my husband and I, and we are both passionate about fitness. Life will always have its ups and downs, sad times, and happy times, and is ever-changing. Adversity makes us stronger and mistakes are learning lessons. I can honestly say that life gets better with every passing decade. Thank you for all the wonderful content that you put out on KZread, it’s very appreciated❤️
Thank you so much for this comment!! So nice to hear about your story. I am so happy to hear that you are at a point in your life where you feel so healthy, both physically and mentally! You are so welcome for the content! Always so grateful to have you guys here! 💚
@@drclairelockridgend you are so welcome. It took years of trial and error. You have youth on your side and so many successes to celebrate 🥰
Thanks for sharing your story. It was very interesting. I can definitely relate to being not a very outgoing sociable person. Although I am much older than you at 48 I have realized that I never will be and I can’t force myself to be. However, I do also understand the importance of having at least a few steady healthy relationships. So yes, it would be nice to hear your take on making friends as an adult.
Yes, even as introverts, we still need to put ourselves out there in social settings and develop those relationships! I can defenly talk more abotu making friends in upcoming videos! Thank you so much for the comment!💚
Thank you so much for being vulnerable and sharing your story! Lots of relatable pieces. I especially related to the phase when you said you were super interested in health and wellness, but weren't actually applying it in your life. I have been stuck at that phase for a long time, but have slowly started building habit largely inspired by your youtube videos. I love what you've mentioned in several videos... thinking about how the healthiest, happiest version of you would act and then showing up as that person everyday. I would LOVE to hear more about your spiritual practice and how that has shaped your story... I feel completely lost as to how to start a spiritual practice.. I do well with structure and spiritual practices feel so vast for me. :) Grateful to have found you on youtube, I really look forward to Saturdays!
Thank you so much for the thoughtful comment! I think we have all had that stage of our health journey where we are super into health and wellness but don't know how to apply anything. I can definitely make a more detailed video about my spiritual practice and how it impacted my health journey. I can also talk more about balancing structure in my life while maintaining a more free-flowing spirituality practice. So grateful to have you here! 💚
Thank you for sharing your story ❤❤ great video :) I resonated with the idea of once I reach my goal I will be fulfilled and happy and once you’re there, you’re not. It’s okay to pivot and make those changes to become the best version of yourself! would love to have the video on making friendships! Would also love to know more about various more natural birth control options and what you did on your spirituality journey as I’m on one too 😊 so glad to have found your channel as it’s such a wealth of information
Yes, I would also love to hear more about your birth control story. I have had 2 IUDs and haven't had a period for 10 years... I've been exploring other options for years, but feel kind of lost.
Thank you so much for the comment!! I’m so glad to hear that you connected with the content! I will add all of those to the list of video ideas!! 💚💚 sending so much support on your journey 💫
I will definitely add more OCP/ IUD/ birth control alternatives to the video ideas list!
Good morning Claire. ❤
Good morning Cathy! I hope you enjoy the video this week! 💚
Yay! Good morning Claire!
Good morning! Hope you enjoy the video 💚
Thanks for sharing your healthy meals with us. Can I ask where do you buy your purple yams from? I live in Ontario too and can't seem to find them.
Yes! I get mine at whole foods, but I know not all locations have them! Hope that helps💚
@@drclairelockridgend thanks a lot I will check the one that I go to which is in Oakville.
Could you share some resources that discuss the consequences of silicone in the kitchen? I was under the impression that it was safe to use, but I'm always looking to learn more!
So the risks of using silicone utensil is very low, and they are still a much better option than plastic. It is generally stable at up to 400-450 degrees. However there is still mixed research over that temperature. I still think silicone is a great choice, but I just use stainless steel and wood because, in my option they are juts as easy to work with. In terms of resources I love Dr. Yvonne Burkart. She has a IG page that is very informative, and she did a great post on silicone that I will link below. Link: instagram.com/p/C0VAZMuvFbc/?hl=en&img_index=4 Hope that helps 💚
I LOVE repetitive meals 💕
So glad you like them! Thanks for the comment! 💚
