What camera did you use? Can you please share how you were able to film this?

@@omgbygollywow I used a Nikon AW110. It’s a point and shoot but takes decent close up video. The camera was mounted on a small tabletop tripod and zip tied to the tree.

@@MichaelJMorris1998 Thanks, Michael. We have a mockingbird couple that had 3 baby birds in a nest deep inside a thorny lemon tree. It's safe for the birds because of the thick branches and thorns that keep out predators. However, I can't get a camera close enough to get a good video of what is inside the nest. The best I was able to do was mount an extension arm on a shepherd's pole to reach about 20 inches through the tree branches and thorns, but I need to get about a foot closer to the nest. Anyway, you made a great video documentary!

Michael thanks for your Video on the Mockingbird. I'm trying to process what has happened to the eggs in the nest. I have watched this nest being built for several weeks. I noticed the eggs on April 8, 2023. Now they are gone from the nest on April 11, 2023. What could have happened to those eggs? I'm sad, I want to see them hatch like yours did.

There is a Mocking Bird that lives in a tree near my house and for hours upon hours at all hours of the night I can hear it. So I wondered about them and stumbled across this video. What a great footage you captured. Thanks!

Okay I actually like this great narrating from the cameraman I actually came across your video Trying to learn how to get rid of this mockingbird in my Arizona tree. But I'm not one to harm these pesky little creatures. 🤔 Maybe a water cannon or water balloon. I am listening to this little jerk in my tree right now as we speak at 12:30 a.m. it keeps me awake most of the night with many chirping sounds. That's right this bird is a jerk 😡

Phenomenal inside look of what is currently happening for the second time (in the last 6 weeks -- same pair of mockingbirds!) in my backyard. Mockingbirds are so insanely intelligent and just amazing to watch and live with. Thank you for making and posting this. I hope you see that this video is still so helpful even 7 years later :)

Awesome job, my cat brought in a baby mockingbird yesterday and we cant find the nest. I was able to tell it was about 10-13 days old and how to feed it with the aid of this video. Its now doing well in a cage away from my cats and other predators for the next few days till its time for fledging. Thank you for posting this. It really helped.

This is so amazingthank you so much for the time and energy you put into it. You really did an incredible job you have a talent for this I don't know if you've done any other documentaries but if you have I sure would like to see them. I can't wait to show my kids when I get them for the week from their dad's tomorrow. And anyone that could even contemplate clicking on the thumbs down option under this beautifully constructed piece of art is either mentally incompetent or just a plain ol' douchebag. Thanks again!! *Forgive the lack of punctuation y'all I did the talk to text thing because I'm feeling a wee thumb-slothy 😂*
