Thank you so much. Excellent review
Glad we could help you! Happy riding!
I mean yeah, it's over $400, of course it's going to be a great bike. It's frustrating when some reviewers don't seem to factor in price at all. If there's a bike that's just slightly less in terms of design, but is half the cost, then it's a better bike.
We review bikes across all price points. If you’re interested in a less expensive 16 inch bike, we highlight our favorites in this article.www.twowheelingtots.com/best-kids-16-inch-bikes/
Great video, thank you
Glad we could be helpful! Thank you for the kudos!
It's easy to see why you have a lot of kids.
It’s actually the opposite.🤣🤷🏼♀️ we have so many bikes because we have so many kids.
Is the hitch long enough to clear your big spear 35" wheel on the back of a Jeep Wrangler .
The bike that is closest to the car sits pretty close to the car, so I would not think so. However, we have never tested this, so I would suggest contacting Allen support to see if they have any other options for you. Hollywood racks does have a rack called “over the top” that is meant for cars with spare tires on the back.
I'm new to da' whole ebike world. This is hands down the best trunk bike reack review on KZread. Def leaning towards the Allen Premier but wanted to know if it will hold weight of 1 75lb ebike. Thanks and keep up the good work!🔥🔥🔥
A 75 pound E bike would greatly surpass the weight capacity. There’s always a total weight capacity for a rack, but also a per bike weight capacity. You need to buy a hitch rack for a bike that heavy. But also, most hitch racks will also not take a bike that is 75 pounds. I would suggest checking out 1up if your bike is really that heavy. 1up-usa.com/product/2in-xtreme-duty
Thanks, really useful information ❤
Glad it was helpful! Happy riding!
Great review
Appreciate the feedback and shout out! Happy riding!
Thank you!

Did ur daughter still fits after 2 and a half years old ? I want the woom becuz u can start early but i also want it to last until my kid is 3
My daughter is very tall and has always been in about the 97th percentile of height. At around 2 1/2 I transitioned her to the woom 1 plus because I already had one. If I didn’t have one, I would’ve just kept her on the woom 1 and let it be a little small for a while. She transitioned to a pedal bike at two years and 10 months.
coaster brakes cause kids to "unexpectedly fall" that sounds silly
Screwing on longer pedals is difficult???
Thank you. Very helpful video!
Hope you enjoy your family bike life! This is the best stage of life!!
The dumbest I ever watched doesn't have any teaching
Been running the Burley Cub X for over a year now. I bring the kids everywhere in that thing and they love it. Off-road trails, rain storms, playground hopping, green market shopping, cruising the neighborhood... the Cub X handles it all with ease. We use it A LOT and it still looks new. The hard plastic tub/floor was the big selling point for me. I bring them through grassy fields and wooded trails all the time and was worried about asharp stick or rock lodging up and shooting through a fabric floor. That plastic tub adds peace of mind and rigidity. This is the type of trailer you can use for years. Already decided I'm gonna keep it once the kids out grow it. The seats fold away so it can double as a great little cargo trailer. Perfect for picnics at the park.
We have never used the cub X, but based on our experience with all of the other Burley trailers, it’s got to be excellent! Keep up the good work with your adventure family!
Do all Schwinn trailers fold and collapse?
We haven’t tested every Schwinn trailer, but most trailers do fold and collapse.
Fantastic review
Thank you for watching and for your support!
Just purchased the banana gt for my 2 year old, thanks to your advice. Can’t wait for him to try it!
Let us know how he likes it!
Super helpful. I was hoping to see you mention the ability to open the trunk with the rack installed.
Hm
better, equipped and quality wise than any other chinese bicycle in this price category.
Videos like this make KZread such a gem. Great review and objective analysis. Thank you! Probabaky going with the Lezyne.
Thanks for your support! We try to be thorough, although that’s not really the trend these days. 🤦🏼♀️
Amazing review - Picky ADHD Dad looking for best value and full feature
Glad we could be of help!
What about rider heel overlap, potentially touching the child leg shields while pedaling?
That can happen with some seats, but the only seat we REALLY had a problem with that with is the Thule Yepp Nexxt Maxi.
Hi. Any idea what the max weight/height the Thule Yepp Mini is? I’m looking to purchase it and get a couple of years out of it. My girl is 16 months but she’s tall for her age.
It’s just a weight limit - 33 lbs.
ma i carabinieri non fanno multe per la targa illeggibile?
It depends on the state. Usually bike racks are exempt from that.
really random but your skis are on the wrong foot with the splitboard btw
I loved the video until you said it’s not good for long rides. That’s why I wanted it. My 4 year old gets tired after a couple miles, so I was hoping this would get us a few more miles..
Hi, thanks for your video! We have a Huyndai Kona and I'm thinking of getting the Deluxe or Premier for our 2 bikes. Do you think that their rack will be okay to drive on highways at 140km/hour speed? That's my main question.
How do 20” bikes fit
Both work great with a 20" wheel basket (Alta and VelociRAX both have their own).
Really helped in unmount. Thanks.
Excellent review!!!
Which other front seat do you recommend for a taller toddler?
How old is the toddler?
Hello, I have a secure fitting where the coupler is, but the end of the thread is barely out. I was thinking about getting a skewer. Does the size depend on the bike? Which one was used from the video? Please provide link, if possible. Thanks!
Most skewers have the same diameter, so you would need to worry about getting one long enough to work with the coupler. If you order one you’ll be able to quickly tell if it’s the same diameter as the one that is already on your bike. If you order from Amazon and it’s not the right size, it’s super easy to return.
The trail gator will damage the bike. It’s crap
Are you referring to the adult bike or the child’s bike?
It will definitely damage the child’s bike. The mounting leaves scratches in the head tube. Not only in the paint but also in the aluminum. Probably also on the fork. I would never install it on my mountain bike. I didn’t install it to my wife’s bike but I bet there are scratch marks too.
We cover this is our written review. If you’re interested, here it is: www.twowheelingtots.com/trail-gator-review/
Great review, however I have a huge doubt that no video on KZread has really made clear. I plan on buying the lite for my son he's 5 and Im concerned he might be too big for this trailer. Could you perhaps tell me the kid's height and tell me your honest opinion on how spacious the lite is
If you’re buying the Lite at age 5, you’re going to get very little use out of it before he’s too big. Weight limit is 49 pounds. My daughter last used it when she was 43.5” tall. If you watch this Reel, you can see how she looks at that height. instagram.com/reel/CWTG8kTALXF/?igsh=bXZ4bWdjYjN2d2E0
Which single seat trailer would you recommend for tall 5 years old, city use and some light off road usage? Looking for the the most spacious and comfortable. I really appreciate your response!!
A five-year-old is going to outgrow a trailer very quickly. The Wike brand does make larger trailers primarily to accommodate older, special-needs kids.
So what would be a young toddler? Is that as opposed to old toddlers?
Younger toddlers were generally referring to one to two-year-olds. While older toddlers would be about 2.5 to 3.5.
Thank you for the video. It helped me decide to buy the Alta. I am not a grammar-(national socialist) but please stop saying dampen and dampening. The VelociRAX has a damper that damps the motion. Dampen is to make something wet. Fox Suspension has a wonderful video explaining the difference. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lmaFmbiffriodco.html
Unfortunately we can’t go back and change KZread videos. It definitely puts a damper on the situation. 😘
Are there any seats for ebikes that have a saddle seat I have an amyet s8 and was wondering if there are any seats for that?
There are no child bike seats that we know of that are designed to fit on that, but there are also no child bike seats that have been safety tested to ride at speeds up to 35 mph.
Straight to the point, well-written, informative, fact-driven. Thanks for looking out for us. Great video.
Thanks for the shout out! We certainly appreciate it when viewers take the time to praise rather than criticize!
Discontinued November 2023 according to information online
The Airos model was discontinued across the brand. All sizes are now available exclusively in the more affordable Ethos model.
At what size the kid can touch the pedals ?
At three years old, they might be just able to reach them, but by four they should be able to solidly reach the pedals. (For the average kid) the Blat model doesn’t have pedals, but has platforms that are closer and easier for shorter legs to reach and rest on them.
Wish they had a six
You need a vertical hitch rack for that! www.twowheelingtots.com/best-vertical-bike-racks-hitch/
@@Twowheelingtotsbikes yeah…1000+. No thanks. Wish Allen had a six. At least their prices are within reason…
We hear you! Unfortunately vertical or pick up truck bed racks are the only style that can accommodate that much weight.
My grandson had a balance bike AND a small toy tractor (tricycle) at the same time. On the bike he learned balancing and countersteering, on the tricycle he learned to steer reverse and park a “car” and had his pedalling skills improved. At the age of 2 yrs, 3 mns he combined the two on a Woom 2 in half an hour.
His bike has a brake. He should learn to use it.
Toddlers generally start developing the coordination to use a handbrake between 2 1/2 and three years old. But every kid is different.
Hi. What is the name of the bine? Black one with the orange tires. Thanks.
That’s the Priority Classic Plus www.avantlink.com/click.php?tt=app&ti=1019&mi=16029&pw=195205&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.prioritybicycles.com%2Fproducts%2Fpriorityclassic2&ctc=best-womens-bikes_amcid-2iQZUgi3posssEVeA6VJO
One could also strap up the bike in an overhead bar. The child can climb up and practise all by herself. My little grandson had a small balance bike and a little toy tractor with steering wheel and pedals. A lot of muscle training going uphill. So in the end he combined balancing and steering when he got pedals on the bike.
29” wheels on a mountain bike how do I get the seat not to rub. I’m unable to use it I owns the Thule yepp nexxt 2
Where is the seat rubbing? If you could email a picture to [email protected], I can try to help you further.
I'd be careful with the statement that Thule is the best company you can invest in. I've bought their most expensive trailer and it started falling apart within 1year, with stuff like brake screws falling off, never glued properly in the factory. It's been 4 weeks of the warranty processing and will take at least 6 more. Absolutely outrageous for a company charging such prices for their products. Also bear in mind the prices of the spare parts are insane,
We appreciate you sharing your experience! We have tested and owned many, many Thule products over the years and have never had an issue similar to this. That said, no product or manufacturing process is perfect, so it sounds like you got a real doozy. We're sorry it's such a pain!! Is this the Thule Chariot Sport you're referring to?
@@Twowheelingtotsbikes Yeah, I've just learned that after 5 weeks since the case started they are only picking it up from a shop, so in total I'll be at least 7-8 weeks without it. For no reason. Had I known it I'd fix it myself.
Yeah, that sounds a bit ridiculous. Sounds like they should just replace it so you don't miss more riding time. It's expensive enough that you certainly can't just go out and by another trailer to tide you over until this one is fixed. :-(
@@Twowheelingtotsbikes exactly and that wouldn't be even that bad.. if not the fact that this chariot is the only place where my toddler sleeps during the day, so we struggle everyday without it. I've had other products from Thule before, they are ok but not really standing out. Chariot has a good competition too. And so have the bike seats. Having seen the attitude of their customer service, I'll think twice before buying anything from them
