I have been fixing things all my life and can usually troubleshoot my way through any issue.
One Day I was asked by a wise man - "Why aren't you filming all these fixes??"
So here I am! Watch me fumble, watch me succeed. You never know what I might fix next!
Thanks for Watching!

I’ve the same. Can you fix this for me 😢 I’m not skilled enough to do this myself !
I havent yet found the proper fix for this. At this point it would likely be cheaper for you to buy a new one than pay for shipping and my time to repair
Good job! I'm happy it is running again. Subscribed :)
Thanks for watching 😀
Do u still repair those, I have one same issue?
Sure do
Waste of Goddamn Time
So is this post 😉
@@TestingWithMike you didnt Fix it! Atleast you Could've been clear in the title friend;IM just saying.
Sometimes the "yellow mustard" non-polar capacitors go bad as well; They don't typically short circuit but they can leak DC voltage a little or even go open circuit.
Great to know! Thank you
Ithink.its the wire where you pug to.the.socket
Can you be more specific
I bought a new 3-in-1 sandwich / waffel / grill master from LIDL..used it 5 times... it did warm up slow, but I thought it was normal for the model.. now it will not heat..plates are cold..but the lights are still on, when power is on.... but the watt-meter I passed it through, says 0 watt.. thoughts ??
Likely a blown fuse or thermal fuse. Going to the warming plates. Crack it open and use a volt meter and follow some of the testing methods I use in this video, and im sure you'll find the issue
@@TestingWithMike Yeah, it must be something like a blown fuse, or a wire that is disconnected... thx for answer..
i have Sony HT-S400,nothing showing on display but working is good
Maybe a similar issue to what happened with this one
I have the same sound bar and the same problem when i look at i finned out that i have burned IC. HOW CAN I GET NEW ONE PLEASE?
What IC is burned? Check aliexpress, I've found a ton of good chips on there
@@TestingWithMike I don't know how to order one
Search the chip on aliexpress, find what you need and order it up. Easy easy lemon squeezy
@@TestingWithMike I couldn't find the chip the number only show the uper one the lowers are burned
There should be markings on the board. What's the number corresponding to the chip?
Thanks its running, i m so happy kzread.info/dash/bejne/qHeJuc6Hc9OYaNI.htmlsi=kAMjCidTO-20Ag9V
Thats great to hear! Glad I could help
Thanks for your help❤❤ he turns
You're welcome 😊
U2 and U17 I have the same issue worth a shot
Let me know if you get it fixed
@@TestingWithMike yes fitted and all working again.. U2- 3482A. U17- G5725ADJ Can get the service manual easily from the internet with schematics contained. But I would think those two the same. I can’t take credit for it an Italian KZread video pointed me to the right area
Trying to troubleshoot a broken soundbar too and am stuck at the same point you are. In another comment you mentioned an IC that has cracked. Which one was it? Who knows, maybe one of us will find a fix since it is very common for those soundbars to break like this. Although it might be a different cause for each of us… but maybe not. Did you try the reset procedure? Take it off power for 1h then plug it in while holding the power button down and keep holding it for 60 seconds. Then try to turn it in. Unplug it, and re-plug it and try to turn it on.
Hey @constantinflux The chip i replaced was Q6 Labeled N7S2 or N752.. hard to tell. the crack was on the left side of the chip. I did attempt the reset procedure and it did not help. I still have hope for this but I've spent so much time on it. Currently its collecting all the dust in the workshop to hopefully be revived one day
@@TestingWithMike There is a Video o YT by an Italian person that iirc replaced the mosfet (?) that is responsible for starting the logic and also swapped some caps around it. I’ll post the link if I find it. Might help you as well!
@@TestingWithMike Found the video I mentioned: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oGujlruHgKbHpMY.htmlsi=xBcWTbgd6k9ss6AM you can turn on subtitles and switch to English subtitles. There are two more vids on his channel from a year ago where he is fixing another soundbar. Might be useful. I’ll check the mosfet in mine on Sunday. Maybe it’s faulty in mine too, who knows. Thanks for your video!
@@TestingWithMike Oh and also an important tip in the video is to drain the 400V cap before going in there… at least as far as I understood.. to avoid nasty surprises.
@@constantinflux I appreciate the video link, I will have a watch
Good idea! glad you are making use of the 3d printer in awesome ways
Truly amazing that i can create a usable object from a roll of plastic
Pretty cool! Can you share an Stl file?

@@TestingWithMike thank you
amazing!
Thanks!
Might it be you had installed the new mosfett in the wrong direction?
By the way, I'm having the same problem of the soundbar not lighting. It happened after a cleaner had used the extension where the sounbar was for a vacuum machine. The other devices that shared the anti-surge extension are okay though.
Every chip has a marking on it to show pin 1. In this case, it's the top right indicated by a circle. This issue is very common and I have attempted to repair this while filming part 2. I found a cracked chip and even after replacing it, it still does not power on. Unfortunately, even with the schematics I cannot isolate the issue. I've had to shelf this for now until I have more time to poke away at it.
Did you ever get back to the soundbar mine has the same issue and was looking to repair it?
I did some digging and filmed a bit of it, tried swapping parts but no success.. this one really stumped me
Good job 👏 👍 👌🏼
Thanks!
Good job bro now I can fix mine 👍🏼
Glad I could help
Nice.
So nice.
Easy peasy. The fuses did their job. 😊
Sure did! Can't wait to use this
But what would blow all 4 fuses at once? It get hooked up to the wrong thing? Overvolted or amped?
My guess was reverse polarity when hooking up the batteries
Wanna replace a digitizer/screen for my kiddo? :P
Shoot me a dm
Everything looked good until the electrical tape. A small bit of heat shrink over the repaired wires would have tidied your work plus looked like it was professionally done or not noticeable at all, which is how we all like our repairs to look. I’m Only trying to give constructive criticism 👍🏼
I would have loved to, however I ran out of big shrink. I dont recommend tape but its all I had :)
Really good stuff man. I'm literally just getting into this stuff so this was super easy to follow. For future vids, could you explain stuff to us noobs like why the laptop charger is negative on the inside and positive on the outside?
Hey thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :) Not all are negative on the inside, but in this case the diagram on the charging block indicated it. Look on any brick, and you'll see a symbol with + and - with lines pointing to a half circle and a dot. That indicates the polarity
Ever heard of cold shrink?
yeah, just pour water on it
Is flux not required?
Hello sir! In this application, the small amount of flux that is built into this solder is enough for it to flow into the wire
That’s so interesting seeing it being done. Cheers!!
Thanks for watching!
Hey, thanks man!!!!! That's awesome.
No problem 👍
That is one of the best Thorens TT. And it has an SME arm. Your uncle knows his audio.
It was a pleasure to work on it as well. It would have been nice to have the axial capacitors to keep the nostalgic feel, but it works again!
Mine wont turn on and it was working and then not working
You likely have the same issue as myself. Stay tuned, I am working on a part 2!
have this very same soundbar been working for allmost 10 years now it doesn't do anything. lcd went years before everything else stopped working
I'm not done with this yet, I have parts ordered and will be attempting part 2 when they arrive
The thumbnail fucking got me but I do have a soft spot for Turntables so it is nice seeing one being repaired by a beautiful bearded man
Lol im glad you like it :) And thank you for the compliment sir
What is a turntable? 🤔
It's like the lasy Susan you probably still have next to the Beatrix Potter collection on your table

Thank youu
Reminds me of working at Dell... Busted caps on optiplex gx270...
The 90s and early 2000s had some extra bad caps that doubled as fireworks
@@TestingWithMike there is a reason I know part number X9294 from twenty years ago
Awesome!
No you are
You're so handsome wow
Thanks 😉
Thought this was going to be a self help video. My wife's nickname for me is hot air station.
I believe they no longer supply parts for that legacy model
I suggest you isolate the output's of the IC then check the output voltage of each pin.....
Thanks for the suggestion, I will see what I can find
My H-B panini maker has been sitting in the back of a kitchen cabinet for years. The plastic colored light cover broke off and the internal part containing the bulbs fell inside the machine. I took it part but don't see any obvious way to fix it. Any suggestions or should I buy a new one?
Does it turn on and heat up? We're you able to check the thermal fuse?
@@TestingWithMike It heats up, but I don't use it because I fear the wiring, bulbs, or plastic housing may contact the heating element.
@@Paladin1873 Is there any way for you to fix the wires that fell through or at least get them out of the way?
@@TestingWithMike No. The bulbs and bulb wires rest on a round plastic cup that sits centered under the top lid. There's a hole in the center of the lid that normally is covered by a red and green colored plastic cover that attaches to the cup inside. That part broke off several years, so now the internal cup and bulbs have no way to stay in place.
This is awesome!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed
