    I do Amazon flex in Birmingham and honestly I don’t think it’s too bad here. On average if I get a 4 hour block I get paid anywhere from £68 - £60. And I’ve done many of them in the past month and non of them I worked more than 2 hours for each of them I honestly think it’s all based on what area u deliver in. For my Birmingham works well. On average I’ve been getting £320+ weekly that’s with fuel and insurance costs, and for all the shifts I can do them in half the time it says

    If you see some of the deliveries are going to be awkward or too far away just don't deliver them, don't even attempt them, turn your Internet off as mark as at location or can't find address and it will let you make it as undelivered even if you ain't near the property. Saves you hassle and damage to your car, take them back to the depot and you still get paid

    On other day I don't a shift for 3.5 hours. Got 48 parcel in 48 location. Took me 4.5 hours so I done 1 hour extra. After that I decided never to do 3.5 hour or 4 hour shift. It is not worth it at all. Takes longer than the given time, high mileage, also they send me though hills, jungles farms like you showed on this video.

    Hi there. I just watched your Flex KZread video. When it comes to working out your financials at the end, you are failing to add a claimable expense. You are failing to claim/deduct 45 pence for each mile you drove on that block. Therefore, 0.45 x 68 miles = £30.60 - deduct the £30.60 from the £49.50 = £18.90 minus 20% tax to pay of £3.78 You can also deduct mobile phone usage/car cleaning also which will reduce overall tax. Best you do some online research. Good luck & best wishes.

  • @tommywills
    @tommywills11 күн бұрын

    Hi Neil. Yes, I am aware of this. I always pay 20% tax into a pot each time I get paid, then when it comes to my self assessment, i claim back mileage and any other expense. I will then likely have a nice amount left over once I have paid the correct tax. You’re right though, should have mentioned it in the video

    I could easily get a shift every evening, however it goes through quiet and busy times. Quiet times people always accept base rate which isn’t good money. Busy times you can wait until an hour before the block starts and accept a surge price which is worth it. Can’t work more than 24 hours a week, but if you just do evenings, you’ll be able to get a shift a day easy. Just depends on whether you’re happy taking base rate or not (i wouldn’t)

    @@tommywillsdepreciation you’re correct os hard to calculate but you can try and use a cabby / taxi driver method whereby you have to assign a certain amount of your daily expenses to vehicle maintenance. Something like 10%-15% should be good so your £44 would have been £38-£40 or something. You should definitely take your vehicle running costs into account regardless of if you have a main job or don’t use this money for your car service or mot etc. the reason is because this is where the majority of your wear and tear and mileage will come from.
