  thank you. I was getting ready to toss my newly purchased p5r core into the trash. It may still end up there but at least it has now been reset to factory and I can use it; just like a normal flashlight. Maybe the nicest paperweight I've ever purchased

  Over kill in most cases. Any humidity, smoke, ect will shine that light right back into your eyes. Attach to drone for lighting up a beach for missing person or property would be great use.

  magnet charger means you need to bring the dedicated cable and if you lose it you're done. Crazy how one bad decision can ruin a product.

  Brought this one about a year ago. was going good then when I recharged, i noticed the battery drained in 20 mins. Wish I read some of the reviews before buying was not cheap. I have an ARLEC one going great. Have for 4 years no battery issues.

  Never heard the brand name back then, just a couple of years ago. And I never be a fan of zoomies; feels cheap and crappy square-shaped light beam on focus mode. But when I saw a number of Ledlenser videos, my mind has changed. I just bought my very first P3 Core and the focused/spread beam is excellent, unlike cheap Chinese zoomies. In my opinion, the price range of Ledlensers is still within budget compared to Streamlight, SureFire or Elzetta (if you prefer non-Chinese torches). You pay premium, you'll get premium. My next purchase would be P5R Core or P7R Core. If not, Solidline (designed by Ledlenser) torches is a viable choice.

  The battery pack has two pieces of 21700, 3.7V battery. Those can be charged with USB charger.

  Hi @trevor you may check a few before you proceed to your local seller for warranty check. 1) check your battery direction. The wrong battery direction will cause the light could not be light up and fail charging 2) battery cover. Please check the battery cover is fully closed tight, which it twist and closed tightly with the arrow shows on the cover. Fail to close tight on the cap may cause failure in using and charging your light 3) The magnetic charging cable direction. Do reattach the magnetic charging cable in checking if it's tap on the correct direction

  I try to charge the ledlenser mh5 and the red light do not stay bright, just intermitent red and green for 3 sec and then is closed.

  Hi, from the symptoms it might be your battery is failure. As MH5 could be operate with normal AA alkaline battery, you may try with AA alkaline battery and if the lights could be turn on, which means you just need to replace your rechargeable battery should be able to solve your problem. Thanks

  Looked at this model, but the runtimes aren't attractive compared to the H15R. Yes, it packs plenty of punch, but I needed something that was still going to have some charge left at the end of the day. Undoubtedly a fine light, but I think they've concentrated too much on output and not enough on battery life.

  The magnetic charging system may not be the most convenient, but there is method in the madness: the idea is to eliminate the problem of worn-out or faulty USB ports. Don't forget this is a heavy-duty product, and it is designed to be used in hostile environments where others would probably fail. It's not a perfect solution, but USB ports can and do go wrong for a number of reasons, and it's a small price to pay to avoid the much greater inconvenience of not being able to charge the battery at all.

  @@dandyer8351 Correct. This light is IP67 rated - much higher than the IPX4 of most Ledlenser products - and the magnetic charging system certainly helps keep water out of the vital areas.

  @@hofferernoke So does my Galaxy 20 Plus. USB ports can indeed be made waterproof, but it does not increase their reliability, which was my original point. In fact, the most frequent mechanical failure on Samsung phones (and, I suspect, many other makes as well) is the USB charging point. Because of the forces applied to them USB ports do wear out over time, and they are less reliable than methods such as magnetic and wireless charging, which put little or no stress on the charging components. Ledlenser uses magnetic charging on a number of models, especially those designed for heavy-duty use. This is a trend seen in other torch brands as well, particularly Olight. Personally, I do not see any real difference between attaching a magnet to a charging point and inserting a USB into a charging port; the only inconvenience is that magnetic charging systems are not universal and you have to use a proprietory cable. In time they may be standardised, but whether this happens or not the benefits do outweigh the disadvantages, and I think magnetic charging is here to stay. Hope that helps.
