    Hi there! Thank you very much for this review! I have an Outdoors RV 4 season travel trailer arriving in a couple of weeks. We live in CO and will be mostly boondocking in CO and the immediate surrounding states. I will also be installing a fairly robust solar system. I am floundering at all of the generator choices out there! The trailer will have a 15k btu a/c; which I will put a soft start on. I can splurge and get a reliable 2200w honda generator and really hope it hangs in there up at the CO altitudes. Or, I could get an off model 2200-2500w generator; and if need be, get a second one to power the trailer. Or, can get a 3000-4000w generator. I would really love not to have to lug a 100lb generator around. But, it is also nice not to have the smaller generator running at 95% load for the a/c. I REALLY like this Wen! My only objection to it, beside the 100lbs is that it doesn't have a remote start. Aside from that, this thing really seems perfect! Safe travels!!

I thought it was odd that the generator would only come with a Phillips head screw driver.. helpful hint for all who have bought a Wen generator. It Should come with that yellow handled philips head screw driver.. Why not a slotted screw driver to open battery door to connect the battery.. just pulled the handle off and spin it around it's on the other end of the philips head... your welcome ...have a nice day🤪

    I bought a WEN 3800 invert/Gen Sept 28 2019....I've only turned it on for the monthly 30 min maintenance as required per the owners manual. I bought it in case of a power outage to run my refrigerator. I went to start it up a week ago and it will not start... it won't even start with the pull rope...The generators spark plug getting spark , I replaced the fuel, I've disconnected the low oil sensor and it should have started up but it did not.. The carb is fine, not clogged or dirty, I made sure the battery was full charged.... Going to call customer service since its still under warranty .

  • @Jetski270
    @Jetski2703 жыл бұрын

    @@jeffstanley4593 jeff i initially thought the same since I had fuel in the tank. I always set it to auto shut off so the fuel could drain out of the carb. I thought maybe the fuel went bad so I drained the tank and replaced with new fuel. It still would not start. So I removed the carb and I did notice the jet appeared to be blocked when I inspect it under a microscope. I ran a thin wire through the jet to clear the blockage and put the carb back in the unit. Then it started right up. Starts on first pull also where as before I could not get it to start with the pull rope. Weirdest thing but it doesn't take much to block fuel flow through the jet

    I routinely store about 8 smaller batteries over the winter months from the two for my boat, 2 motorcycles and all my generators. Put them all on a battery tender ( not a battery charger) and they last from 6 to 10 years as long as they are a good make of battery to start with (Yuasa). If you don't do so and allow the batteries to slowly discharge over time, it WILL lead to early failure of the battery. This is a FACT as I learned this the hard way. Wire the leads into the battery and buy a battery tender for $15 and you will be good to go for years to come.
