Yup. It was a larger bright coloured spoon. If you pause at 3:02 it's visible.

That was out of Couples hotel. Not really sure where the dive sites were. All new, didn't care too much as long as we went underwater.

Most of jamaica's coral reefs died in the 1980s from hurricanes especially gilbert in 1988 plus pollution, sand mining and now global warming so there is not much to see in our waters

Thanks! Hope you get to go given what's happening at the moment. The stationary shots are either a bare go-pro sitting on the bottom or on a tray mount that I use for diving.

Juz sie przyzwyczailem i nawet wole je bardziej od spinning-owych. Dla mnie sa wygodniejsze w uzyciu. Przy rzucie druga reka potrzebna tylko do podtrzymania wedki. Za to brakuje mi bardzo klikania hamulca - najpiekniejszy dzwiek na swiecie.

Zdazylo sie Tobie zlapac ta rybe z wiekszymi gabarytami? Podobno rosna na olbrzymy, ale ja nigdy nie zlapalem ani duzo wiekszej ani duzo mniejszej. Z jakiegos powodu myslalem, ze to spokojne ryby, a na tej wycieczce zaatakowal blache. Nigdy nie wiadomo co skubnie...

Hello, I’ve never done a dive before and am traveling to Negril next month. Would it be possible to dive as a beginner without taking any lessons?

Doubt it. Some minimal instruction needs to happen. Most PADI places offer discover scuba 'course'. Look it up, there's nothing to it and you'll be underwater in one day.

The clip is put together from multiple dives. Still learning, but I'm completely aware of do's and don'ts. Any screwups are unintentional. Nothing worse than ignorant people who simply don't care enough to care. :) The goals for future recordings is to get to a level where subjects go on about their business and aren't scared away by me trying to film them. That will be whole other level...

Great video! I can't wait to be back in July. Did you use any lights for the daytime stuff and how were you holding the camera??? Thanks.

Thank you for the kind words. I didn't use any lights at all. Most of the days the skies were partly overcast. Despite that, I'm pretty happy with how the video turned out. Got lucky with full on sun in shallow water for some of the shots. That's where colours are most vivid. Red filter helped a lot. Was pretty dissapointed about very dark image of the shark, but recovered a bit of brightness in post processing. It was way brighter to the eyes as compared to the video. Only after the fact I read up on the solution to this. Lower framerate is key to low light with GoPro. This way each frame gets exposed over longer period of time and the image is brighter. Protune also helps. Camera was mounted on an extendable selfie stick. Enjoy your vacation, and if you'll have some videos to share, send me a link!
