Congrats nice fish. If you don’t need the meat please consider letting the real big mommas go back to spawn. Some of those big ones are 25+ years old and we need them to spawn so we have more monsters in the future. Each one makes thousands of eggs. 🤙🏽

@HeyUncleA2 жыл бұрын
@@TheArtBaby0 I don’t think large stripers are the problem. If anything the small ones do the most damage. I think the problem is that our river is not managed correctly. They keep sending more water to other places and damaging our ecosystem. We need water in our river for it to work properly. When it’s hardly even flowing the whole river system starts to die. Many of the places for fish to spawn and fry to grow is gone or damaged.

@HeyUncleA Жыл бұрын
@@tmiranda1379 uhh non-native yes… but calling stripers invasive is debatable. They’ve become part of the ecosystem. Our river wasn’t messed up until the river level was so low salt started washing into the delta. What are stripers damaging? Salmon were doing fine for the first 70 years they were here. I don’t think the stripers are the problem. It’s the lack of water, lack of water management, and lack of spawning habitats for salmon due to poor river management and that stupid dam blocking their true spawning grounds.
