This channel features demos and discussions on fine art ranging from quick sketches to refined oil painting techniques. My mission is to teach the secret pedagogical systems practiced in the academic art world in Europe during the late 19th Century. This type of education, unfortunately has declined in the previous Century, although it is starting to make a comeback through privately owned ateliers and some online schools. Why this type of hands on instruction isn’t taught in any of the “big name” art schools and universities (with a few exceptions) is absolutely mind boggling to me.
By teaching drawing and painting techniques which I’ve studied for the past 25 years, I hope to help other artists develop their confidence and inform their direction in whatever artistic endeavor they choose.

Fantástico!!!! La mejor técnica de dibujo sin duda… pero se podría explicar sin la cuadrícula para beneficio de todo el mundo por favor?
Thanks a lot. You broke it down so I could clearly understand the process. I had to save this video and subscribe to your channel.

Thank you for making this video, it was very helpful. I was satisfied with my results. This you❤
I am doing this painting right now. I am curious, how many layers of of color did you ultimately do on the cloth head covering? Second, after glazing the face, do you then go with an opaque light skin tone, followed by additional glazes?
Very helpful.
so you just using B nitram and white generals charcoal pencil right?
so nitram white is enough😊

Great tutorial thanks .
I just seen your video & love it an I was wondering did you use chalk pastel or an oil pastel
Hi Felix, For this portrait I used chalk pastels. Glad you enjoyed the content!
Thank you for sharing! I used to doodle when I was younger, but I'm trying to learn how to draw/paint portraits! Very helpful video
It's a good demo but in my opinion, nothing is learned from drawing from photo. A photo of someone is nothing like how the person would look like in real life. I'm not going to go into a full list of why this is so but focal length of the lens and it's effect on how the face appears is one big one. It is literally impossible to get someone to look in photo as they do in real life even with the most expensive cameras, lenses, and lighting.
cool
So cool
This helped a lot! I was painting a smaller man in the background of a painting but i struggled to make it look like a face! Thank you
Really helped me understanding the eye more
Mucha sombra en los pómulos, es más tenue cerca de la nariz, se le ve muy plano, muy pronunciado esas sombras de los pómulos, mira mucho a distancia mientras elaboras

That's a gorgeous lady. Where do you get these images? It's easy to draw when your subject looks nice. Unfortunately google image searches for "actress" or "model" give me fugly celebs like Zendaya, Candle Jenner, etc.
exploring pinterest, even twitter if you follow the right people
Wow you explained so nicely and on the point. Wonderful portrait in both modes. Like your style of teaching. Thank you for sharing 💕👍
