Unexpectedly, black leaves added elegance to a beautiful flower. Very well done, Michelle, great taste and artful arrangement.

Very lovely haul! I really like those Concord and 9th dies. Especially the non stripe ones. Can't remember the name but I'm probably going to get them. Also want that coral wax bead mix! Xx

I have enjoyed your videos and particularly like your attention to detail and clean and simple style. Things seem to get old so fast in paper crafting and prices have been inflating so fast I was especially pleased to see you have plans for the older items you have in this haul. It is good to find new ways to use our stash but it is human nature I guess to feel you constantly need the latest thing. Looking forward to following your channel.

Michelle, great products!! I am not buying anything new for a while as I have so much that I have not used. I like to see how others use there supplies in different ways than always showing something new. I will always be here for you!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!! 😀

I enjoy your haul videos. I appreciate that you purchase older supplies because you know that you will get a lot of use out of them. We are so stuck on having the newest things, almost pushed into it by some companies, which is one reason I stopped watching a lot of videos from card makers and from the companies they promote. I want to see a stamp set that came out six months ago used again and maybe in a different way. And I would rather watch you make a card on your channel and support you in your crafting life! Have a lovely weekend! 🇨🇦

I’m only four minutes in your video and wanted to suggest looking at Lawn Fawn for smaller talk bubble dies. I’m pretty positive they have some with all of their critter sets. And before I finish out the video I’ll just say it’s so nice seeing your haul videos again. Even though I haven’t created cards in a while, I still enjoy keeping up with my creative friends. Are you still planning a craft room update?? You know I always enjoy your videos. ❤

To tag onto my first comment, I completely understand you saying you are stagnant on card making. I guess I am too, that’s why I picked up diamond painting. I didn’t think I had the room for another hobby either, but I’ve moved things around and planned for it and I’m enjoying it so far.

@@KWCardDesign Thank you so much for watching, my friend! I hope you are well. I will have a look at Lawn Fawn for the talk bubble dies, thank you! Yes, I am definitely planning a craft room tour. Unfortunately there was an accident with some stamp cleaner and it went all over the wall and has stained it. Annoyingly, I now need to repaint the room! I am hoping to get that done asap and then can get filming the tour. Thank you for asking! :) I am so glad that you are enjoying diamond painting. It does look really fun! I haven't ventured into it yet but I am tempted!

Your title had me intrigued until I realized you're NOT using the back of the folder, but the REVERSE of the embossed image. The technique is fun and have been playing with for a while now. Turns out there are a few ways to do it...not all successful, but still interesting.

I have the first 3 sets of the TH Distress water color pencils. I colored 100 Christmas cards, so I got to figure out how to best use them for coloring a lot of small areas. They were sooo fast to use - just scribble lightly with one color like 3 cards at a time ( hard to find places to put the cards down flat to dry - they were slimline) and then took a water brush and just brushed the water on - sooo fast. Each card was truly handmade but not tedious to color because the pencils went on so easily on multi media paper (I didn’t use watercolor paper) and the water brush was easy to spread the water with. I really want to get the other 3 boxes, but may wait for a good sale. I’m not going to bother with black/white, but the new color…. Ooooo

I use alcohol to clean stencis but was worried about putting it in a plastic bottle, so ended up buying a glass spray bottle, for peace of mind, I also give cutting plates a quick mist every now and then to clean out debris

Fantastic video! Loved your haul and your chat about why you chose what you did! The only thing is please check that it is ok for alcohol to be airborne, I don’t know why but I think I heard that can be dangerous. Please do more loke this and can’t wait for your new room tour

  • @MichelleShortTheCardGrotto

Thank you so much for your kind feedback. I’m really glad you liked it! Thank you for mentioning that. I believe that 90% isopropyl alcohol or above is safe to spray. I use 99%. The thing that is unsafe to spray is the blending solution for alcohol inks. That has resins in it and can be very dangerous to be airborne. I appreciate you mentioning it and making sure that we all stay safe! Thank you!

Cannot say I am truly happy with the Tim Holtz watercolor pencils, and I still cannot figure out why. Kind of regret spending the money on them. I have returned to using a Tombow blender pen with Tombow marker ink, Distress Ink, and other inks to color my stamped images. Less mess, desired results, effective shading. Win - win!

Always good to see what you have bought! I wasn't sure if I was going to bother with Scorched Timber but it does sound as if it would be lovely with aqua. Don't have the watercolor pencils myself but will try using isopropyl for my stencils from now on. I have a spare mister I think! Xx
