I seen them use a sledge hammer at the Mexican used tire shop to remove the tire, you get the rim back with a few modifications.

Thank you for this video, it helped me a lot, my tires are coming today but I still won't be able to change it because I have to book an appointment to do it and they have available time on 28, I don't have a time to wait that long anymore, thank you so much

Just did this for the first time and this was super helpful! If your doing this and you’re a skinny guy like me I suggest using longer pry bars for more leverage.

I think they should teach this in automotive class because not everybody has a tire machine. But I used this method and it was about 10 min a tire only because I only had a tiny screwdriver and a small pry bar

I used to drive on the board to break the bead but it seemed like I'd break the board or it would pop up under the car. I use a bumper/ farm jack now. Lay the tire under the front bumper of my 7.3l diesel and set the jack foot on the tire

I was at a friend's, swapping out a new set 38.5 superswampers and a neighbor came over and asked what we were doing. When we told her, she said "I thought you needed a machine to do that" I said no, YOU need a machine to do that. I AM a machine.

You forgot to mention this only works on 15 or 16" tires, not low pros. Also, you can only do this on steel or chrome rims. Otherwise gonna scuff your wheels.

good video, but you got to balance the tire, so the shop will charge you at least $15 and they charge $22 to install/balance/mount the tire

Those are small tires with a decent amount of profile - 70%? That's the easiest situation. That said, you did it quicker and safer than anybody I have ever seen. Some people run the timber along the side of the tire and drive right across the side of the tire - that method worries me because maybe (specially with very low profile 50%) the wheel can flip up and slap the fender. Your method keeps the vehicle away from the tire. Good job!

Making me cringe at all the scatches that would end up on the rime by dragging it around on the concrete! Premise is good, execution.....needs work. But overall a good idea.
