I can remember back in the days there was a big controversy about how he moved his legs, thought it was a sexual dance. Can you imagine what they would say about the dancing today? These were the good country music days,

A few weeks later when Jimmie asked Hank about that song he was going to write for him Hank said, Jimmie, I wrote it, but it was too good, so I had to keep it for myself. Hard to believe nowdays, but in the South of the 1960's, we were taught square dancing in Phys. Ed class during the cold wintertime when we couldn't "dress out". The boy's P. E. teacher was the caller, and it was the only time the boys and girls had gym class together, lol! Fun memories.
