Very interesting, I guess it works because when you are internally dialoguing, most people are actually subvocalizing, literally sending nerve impulses to the organs of speech including the tongue. And you can't do that when you are focused on relaxing the tongue

It’s always a profound joy when I encounter another photo reader, as we share a truly remarkable gift. Recognizing your esteemed position as a photo reading trainer, I deeply respect the incredible journey you’ve undertaken to pass on such transformative knowledge. I'm currently on a similar path, working towards becoming a trainer myself, and I understand the immense value and impact of this skill. Celebrating this connection, I must say that my days are enriched by photo reading, often absorbing the essence of a book daily. Simply glancing at a Mind map brings the entire content vividly back to life for me, a testament to the incredible power of this technique. I have a deep appreciation for NLP, and I often find myself drawn to your channel, admiring the wisdom you and John Grinder impart. Thank you for sharing your expertise and contributing to this extraordinary community.

If someone really wants evidence-based proof of the mind-body connection with plenty of fancy statistics, pretty much every pharmacological study needs to take into account those pesky placebo effects. And let's not talk about all the data-tinkering (or is that fudging ?) sometimes needed to demonstrate that certain drugs of choice work better than said placebo ;-)

One way is to develop a self calibration system in recognising and utilising the bio feedback inherent in the kinaesthetic system to access resources that have naturally accumulated through life experience and form our tacit knowledge. Another way, is to access an optimised state through playing a New Code game, best done with a coach first time and reactivate the state in any context where desired through micro muscle movements of the physical movements of the game. The optimised state will have become a part of your tacit knowledge, and you know the doorway to the state having played the game (exploit knowledge), a great way of connecting exploit and tacit knowledge for your personal development. @@NLPacademy very helpful indeed. Since I wrote the question, I have been thinking a lot about how I would develop a self-calibration system. I have in the past used a pendulum as a 'signalling system' but is not very practical when on the move lol but does seem to have uses. thank you again. what do you think of the use of a pendulum in this context? Do you have a video on developing a self-calibration system?

John says: "to create a context in which their patients or clients are able to develop effective new patterning, which is designed for them specifically," ...and whether a client does this.....or not can be measured by contrasting their behaviour before, during and after the intervention. NLP does not go up against a money system, nor professionals "defending their turf". They go up against a system which would like objective evidence that it works, to date this has not been forthcoming in NLP generally speaking.
