Blending the art and science of football..
The aim of this project is to go beyond the surface-level analysis of the mainstream sports media. We go in-depth here, but (hopefully) in a way that makes football tactics and analysis available to everyone :) Brought to you by Jaleel, a football fan from the UK.

Like if youre here after poch sacking
Excellent analysis. I am subscribing. Thank you.
Isn't this tactic what Fernando Diniz invented or reinvented? He started implementing his tactic a few years ago.
Does anybody know the music he uses for the video
Very insightful
For me both manager deserve to be respected in the sense that they have changed a game a lot in this century. We have withness the great moments from both managers and they worked hard for what they have achieved, so for me I take my hat off and bow for both of them.
de zerbi to united, with his insane passing? kobe mainoo and bruno are just going to cook without age.
Welcome to Juventus Thiago!
WM system!
Out of all the players that left Barca aside from Messi, the one that's proving to have the biggest impact is Busquets farewell, there is only one player that can replace him and is Rodri from Manchester City and Pep will not let him go
In term tactical adaptation from season to season in premier league who is better than Pep?
Yo he is destined for Man Utd. With Berrada and Wilcox links to man city, where man city really admires him. With the Ineos connection with DiZerbi's assistant who is currently the Manager of Nice. With Ashworths links to Brighton. And then lastly, when Sir jim said, the best football game he ever watched was last year's UCL semi where Man City kill off Madrid 4-0. He describes the way City play in that game was joy to watch. There's no coincidence why Sir Jim and Ineos hired Berrada and Wilcox. The Stars are aligning. I hope it becomes a reality.
Spot on
well done
He says it himself. His methods are working, but they require very good players. Try to make a game as predictable as possible when you have the weaker players and see what happens . On the other hand, if you have the weaker players, creating chaos is your most probable way to success. I always wanted to see Guardiola coach a non-top team. Not as a bad omen to him, but out of curiosity to see how he'll tackle entirely different challenges.
Bayern Fans come together now
Excellent video
Nice 🎉🎉🎉
Where did you get the data from at 6:04? :)
Made football extremely boring though....strict positional constraints and over coached
I think there is a mistake made here in the assumption that positional football is players being static. What Guardiola means is that players should be in the right position, but they should always move to find the free space, or occupy the space so other players can associate with them. So positional football requires movement to search for the empty space.
Its all in the anticipation, the subtle instinct that tells you whether the opposition is going to play into you or out of you. This anticipation goes both while in possession or off it. Building team instict is the key to playing a good game. Managers can show the team where they are going wrong or where they can better themselves, but it is the team that plays and needs to understand while the managers are there only to serve the team
Diniz andou para que Thiago Motta pudesse correr
Bull shit. Hype that’s obviously going to flop
Alex Ferguson is better. He redefined PGMOL Managing Director.
🐐🥇💯
Entropy of the universe increases regardless of the control of Guardiola: ) SO just enjoy watching his teams and don't question if it is the right or wrong way to do things.
Embracing chaos is basically becoming rm and it sadly works
Unlimited money to buy the best players for every position. He needs to go back to Barcelona and try this with la masia players before any credit is given. Even Pellegrini dominated with city.
Mate i’m no big fan of Pep but like 6 of his Barca 2010/11 players were from La Masia
and i’m just talking about the starting XI
@@No-gq8hg that is a very common misconception, but Guardiola’s most frequent la masia graduates had already debuted for the first team prior to him starting his coaching career. In fact, all of them had already left the B team prior to Guardiola taking over in 2007. Most of Guardiola’s best la masia players were formed by van Gaal and Rijkaard, including Xavi Iniesta and Messi.
The triangles were more Van Gaal than Cruyff... There is even a video of Van Gaal explaining the concept
I would be so curious about Pochettinos new inverted left back tactic, provided it works for the rest of the season
I like this video as much as soccer
But English coaches are the best in the world right?
In order for this to work Brazil national team needs to play players in the Brazilian league instead of Europe so that they can work and feel more of the Brazilian spirit
I came to this video because Motta is closer to Juventus than ever, and I'm a Juve fan. I love coaches who "reinvent" the game: Motta, Farioli, De Zerbi, Xabi Alonso, Terzic. I'm really looking forward to what Motta can do with the Juve squad after all these shitty years.
Make a video about Thomas muller
this is wrong. I think Pep doesn't force controll. He uses controll to save energy. The more energy you have the better. More power, more precision, less technical mistakes and more creativity! This obviously results in more goal oportunities! But the most important part is the opponent loses energy (power, precision, makes more mistakes,...)
The best 🔥
The narrative at the end is very compelling but no football coach is going to be a scape goat for a people's dreams and ambitions. It defeats the purpose of being a coach, because he is full and well dependent on the team and its performance. Apart from that I felt this was a well crafted video of the man
He watched a lot of Bielsa's Leeds.
The heat map of Julian and Ferguson lol. 3-2-4-1 vs 4-3-3 means the lone 1 striker will drop a lot less. Also, Ferguson plays a #8 role in the midfield not as the #11 like Julian. And lastly, this is man city vs. bologna. Last year’s Treble winners and pl champs 5 of the last 6 years. All of Bologna’s players will drop a lot more because they aren’t as good and have 40% possession avg. vs. 67% for city. Basically, the comparison is flawed for several reasons and can’t safely be used to support the primary argument of the video (read: bologna have less structured positions).
He is about to come to Juventus
as an aspiring coach myself this video is a master piece and i watch it once every week
it's called the tiki taka in Spain
When is the xabi video coming?
Would love to see an analysis of Wilfred Nancy at Columbus Crew. The MLS is currently the Messi and Co. show to most of those watching abroad, but THE actual best team in the league is Columbus and largely in part to the management of Nancy. As a local Miamian and fan of Inter Miami, trust me, I'd trade Martino for Nancy in a heartbeat.
Guardiola's model is admirable, respectable and incredibly efficiente. Also boring as hell
i also thought lucumi was called lucimi
Can I apply this tactics in fc24?

This channel is like crack cocaine for a football supporter. Just went through a few videos and I learned so much even as a seasoned fan
