Which movie is the clip of the two gents on the beach with briefcase from? This could solve a long-term mystery of mine. Thank you kindly.
It's from Local Hero (1983) on Morar Beach 😊 kzread.info/dash/bejne/pn1qmrZ9YMvYYLQ.html - Ila
Honoured to do a reading for Glasgow Worldcon! Thank you so much! Can't wait to be in Glasgow this August 2024!
Thank you for this
Authors? I hope J K Rowling is the star attraction with mass protest against the hate crime bill. Watch what you say and make sure you dont think, wrongthink or anythink.
Please tell me this will be going into a charity auction with a minimum bid of $401.24
I love the purple tartan you chose. YES!
Its the Landing Zone tartan, official Worldcon tartan for Glasgow 2024
Congratulations to all nominees and all the finalists, great works of imagination.
Loved watching this live! Thanks so much and CONGRATULATIONS to all the finalists!
The writing is brilliant and amusing. Rachel reads well and clearly and in a matter-of-fact way which adds credence to what is, of course, fantasy. (On the other hand a little magic in Ottawa would not hurt!)
Thanks so much for this reading!
I took the opportunity to listen once again to this Opera Teaser today now that I've had my upgraded hearing aid for three weeks. What a difference in the sound quality! I can really look forward now to hearing the live performance of Morrow's Isle at the Glasgow 2024 Worldcon on August 8, 2024.
First
Sorry I missed the live stream!
This is the second interview that I've heard from Ben. The more I listen to what he says, the more convinced I am that this man truly understands.
Nicole is the nicest person, hope to catch up with her if she can make it to WorldCon!
The tartan looks so beautiful, as does the logo. Who were the designers?
How exciting! Such a creative commission to premier at Glasgow World Con 2024. Hats off to Ken and Gary for taking this on. Looking forward to hearing it!
this is Brilliant!!!
Unfortunately, we've been unable to recover the missing portion of the video. We hope you still enjoy it.
Due to a technical difficulty the first 10 minutes of this video is missing. We apologise for any inconvenience and will try to upload the full video at a later date.
He saved their lives and risked his own!
Really great convo. Panel was great 😊
Fantastic panel and a super interesting topic. Thanks, everyone! <3
I don't understand how you could enjoy the show if you've read the books.
You do realise other people could just possibly, perhaps, maybe, have a different opinion to you? It is a thing you know
@@MrChewy79 you can be wrong, I just don't understand why you'd want to be.
I am the grinch in this video... but my suit is red and bright.
So does this send me to Whamhalla?
Absolutely not. Covers don't count, so you're still in the game. We recommend earmuffs - warm and protective against Whamageddon!
A massive thank you to everyone who made this possible. What an amazing group of volunteers.
Great talk
Thanks!
I had the pleasure of watching this live and getting to engage in the chat via zoom. Fascinating discussion about the conjunctions and conflicts between paganism as a general group of practices/faiths and the horror genre. What makes it 'scary' to people, why does it get used so often with so little research, and do we need to 'reclaim' the term or just educate and move forward expecting better representation.
Great news of this FANtastic win.
The HUGE GRIN on my face as soon as the music started!
Yeah, no more worrying about where to go on summer vacation in 2024! Congrats!
You missed out The Wicker Man... Ps: Who do I contact about the Art Show?
I thought it possibly less than welcoming. There may be other promos though.
Oooh - are we doing Skyfall site tours?
Clicked through to the website, which took ages to load and then came up to tell me my IP address had been blocked - not encouraging, to say the least.
Sorry about that Paul. The website is now available after some changes we needed to make. glasgow2024.org/
Was in the process of being updated. Should be accessible now.

Great work. As someone who met Antonija, Vesna and Igor in Rikon 2021 I can tell you their work on field of Croatian horror and folk fantasy is a great inspiration for all us young writers in Croatia.
I'm excited about that eveeeent ! Don't konw if I'll make it (France here!) but still excited.
Good presentation, thank you. Looking forward to attending.
I'm quite excited about this! I came in 2005, but had a money mix up and had to work on a tight budget. I wish to try Haggis this time :-)

At the first Glasgow Worldcon, in 1995, a free book of short stories by local writers was given away. It was called Shipbuilding.
