How do people genuinely figure stuff like this out in video games, i mean i know it's trial and error but how do you even figure out the glitches. It's impressive to say the least 👏

Wow, I feel like I learned something with this very insightful review. That being said, the game teaches us to better handle the frustration of failure. When I played the game, I knew how insidious it could be and took it as a challenge not to stress about it. But maybe that was a mistake. Because I'm actually a very stressed person and often rather than screw something up, I'd rather not even try. Too bad I didn't have this game as a kid to learn just that. I would certainly have experienced this far more, but I would have gained a valuable lesson for life. Besides, even if this game had existed back then and I had it at home, I would have been much more frustrated by my parents, who would have only seen me scream or hit the table when I fell, which they would have considered a manifestation of a dangerous addiction and would have banned me play this (And there's no violence in the game either.) Otherwise, I didn't finish the game. I got stuck at that chimney where despite watching a number of let's plays I couldn't find a way to beat it. And training the right way isn't as good as it used to be, so I simply forgot a lot of solutions.

While I hope this becomes the new standard for action platformers, I do think Gravity Circuit has a few problems, particularly with it being too easy to break its difficulty. The devs seem to at least somewhat agree as they continue to add in new modifiers or challenges with the intention of making the game more difficult. Gravity circuit excels in the customization but that unfortunately has costs. Overall loved the game, wouldn't call it a masterpiece on my end but certainly a terrific game that I hope more people play. Great game and great video. Glad others beside myself are shining a light on this game!

People have already said this game is more Megaman Zero inspired than Megaman X, so I won't add to that pile. I'll just say thank you for showing me a game like this exists, because I'm all about chasing the Megaman Zeto itch Capcom won't provide.

The only thing that pains me is using a Shield/Deflect/Anti Damage CUSTOM in Megaman Battle Network Using ⬅️ 🅱️ buttons (GBA) which is horrible (It makes it more less reliable in PvP despite it being designed for PvP) When using R button is significantly much better choice but they didn't

I don't know if they ended up updating this to the game but i wish that the general enemies on the surface in Pikmin 4 could respawn instead of been perma dead. they did it perfect with the caves. i'm not sure why they chose not to do the same in the outside areas.

..."Unless you know the boss order" ...like. That's...that's the point of playing a game the first time. You don't know. You take guesses. You learn. I'm sorry, did you want the speedrun record on a first playthrough? Like. I get you're hyping up some other game, but this argument here took me all the way out. Like. "Feels like an inside joke between developers and experienced players that I'm not a part of". I don't know what you possibly think those experienced players were before. But the fact is..they were new, they didn't know the "optimal" order, and they played and died and tried again and learned new things. This game looks cool, but don't try to say that Not Knowing The Optimal Boss Order Of Mega Man X is some kind of detriment to the act of playing a Mega Man game

Blastoise is better in Elite Four than Vensaur is. You can win the game too easily by just blastoise with ice beam teached plus a 50ish level electrode which is captured in zapdos santral and raised around cinnabar island npcs. Or just capture zapdos is you can which rewuires less levelling. And indigo league is the only challenge, especially if you plan to go without revives potions, not the first 2 gyms...

Honestly, I've become a bit exhausted with all the Mega Man-esque indie games over the past few years (20XX/30XX, Fallen Knight, Metagal, Metaloid: Origin, Super Alloy Ranger, Venture Kid, Berserk Boy) that I just haven't had it in me to pick another one up. Most of them have been fun, but I pick them up once and never have a desire to play them again. I've heard some incredibly good things about this one though, so maybe I have it in me to pick up one more! Great review. To be fair with Mega Man, though, the X series is probably the EASIEST in the franchise. I suck at Mega Man and they're just about the only series of games I can actually beat.

Bro, I love your channel and generally agree with you but I gotta say 2:45 Is such a weird take. Like, yeah, you lack information when you boot up the game for the first time that you acquire by exploring, trying and failing at it. It almost sounds like you’re implying every videogame should come with a list of all secrets and where to find them and what the best strategies to beat the game are. Throughout the video it sounds like you’re trying to imply that this game is an improved and better Mega Man X which I wholeheartedy disagree with. Besides the fact that you’re comparing the fluidity of a 500MB game vs a game that came out on an SNES cartridge (which should have been around a couple Megabytes), this game is clearly meant to be a fast-paced steamroll through armies of enemies kind of game, which MMX just wasn’t. Hell, it couldn’t have been this kind of game if it wanted to because of hardware limitations. MMX is not meant to be a power fantasy, it’s challenging and requires the player to be constantly focused and aware of their surroundings. Even lore-wise it’s pretty expected for those I wil never forgive you for calling Robot Masters (/s of course, but they are technically Maverick Reploids, or just Mavericks) to kick your ass. Ar the beginning of the story X is not really anyone special, he’s a very early prototype that basically joins the equivalent of a police force. He just has a mega buster, which is basically just a service weapon to defend himself, it wouldn’t really make sense for him to have an arsenal of weapons and a plethora of power combat abilities. He technically wasn’t even made for combat in the first place, he was basically just Pinocchio. Gravity Circuit is definitely a great game, a high octane fast platformer with smooth controls and flashy visuals. But it’s not a better Mega Man X, because it’s not even what X was meant to be in the first place.

I really was not that keen about the game when I played the demo. I admitedly might not have been in the correct mindspace or something but it felt off in a few regards. However, so many of my favourite KZreadrs are praising it that I will definitely play it. I've been yearning for a good new action platformer and despite that I am not the greatest fan of the Mega Man model, I would still take a great game like that over nothing.

The most notable overlap is Gravity Daze, also known as Gravity Rush, but those games are not on Steam. What's funnier is that if you actually look up "gravity circuit" beyond the game, it is also a specific type of ore processing equipment used in mining operations.
