George Thorogood & The Destroyers Official
George Thorogood & The Destroyers Official
Since 1976, they’ve sold over 15 million albums, built a catalog of classic hits, and played more than 8,000 ferocious live shows. They broke records with their 50 Dates/50 States Tour, delivered landmark performances at Live Aid and on SNL, and became mainstays of radio, MTV and stages worldwide for more than two generations. Through it all, they’ve remained one of the most consistent - and consistently passionate - progenitors of blues-based rock in pop culture history.
For the past 45 years, it’s been very good to be George Thorogood & The Destroyers. And in 2021, their Good To Be Bad Tour: 45 Years Of Rock will prove why like never before.
“If you’re content, you may as well be dead.” George says. “I think everyone has thoughts about retiring, but the phone keeps ringing. You want me and The Destroyers to come to your town, set up our gear, wear some cool threads and play ‘Who Do You Love?’ End of conversation. Let’s rock!”

I still remember where I was when I first heard that song. At work and went Holy Crap! New Thorogood! Bought it that weekend.
What do you think of a song about a guy named “Damn Dean” that’s involved in politics?

So I have seen y'all every time you played Salt Lake City, even the Zephyr club bar, introduced my son and my second wife to your music. (first wife wouldn't quit drinkin, so she had to leave), anyway long time fan, got everything you have ever done that I am aware of. Keep rockin.
This is actually a cover of My Bleeding Heart by Elmore James, with some Sky Is Crying mixed in to make some tasty blues gumbo. Nicely done, George
I was lucky enough to see George Thorogood open for the Stones in Hampton Va on Keith Richard's birthday in 1981. HBO was carrying the Stones live and a guy jumped on the stage during the encore. Richards hit him with his guitar then kept on playing. Anyway, George put on an amazing show and his energy was off the charts. If you ever get a chance to see him perform, TAKE IT!!!!! I would certainly love to see him again.
Can't find that signature guitar anywhere
One only one comment
I saw the thumbnail for the video and I thought "oh shit thats Dave Mustaine!!!!!" :)
Fuck. Upload something new!
I have been a fan since 3 Lock Box. You're my hero as far as guitarists, songwiters, singers and just all around awesome! Hope to meet you one day. I took my dad to see the Nelsons when dad was 92 because he was a big Rickiy Nelson fan, I never got to meet any musical heroes. Hope I don't have to be 92 before we meet
Hey George if you're looking at this I want you to know I have seen everybody there is to see in concert Ozzy, Ray Charles, the fabulous Thunderbirds Whitesnake, The Stones, I mean everybody but nobody and I mean nobody puts on a show better Than George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers! I love you George! You Are My guitar hero!
I was lucky to see him in concert once in July 2022 here in Germany. Besides "Rose Tattoo" (the Australian band) it was the best rock concert I've ever been to. Absolutely marvellous, I'll never forget it. But come on, you can't compare Ray Charles and his style to rock music, what are you doing? 😆
Nahhh i love it...
1985 is when I first saw George and the band live. Lycoming College in Williamsport Pa.
Love ya brother! I seen you open for ZZ Top in the Bay area in the nineties. As much as I love ZZ Top, George and band destroyed! Killed it. ZZ Top just looked sad trying to follow up.
Good old Lonesome George ! 🤓🙋♂️❤👍
The Iceman cometh!!
You guys KILLED it last night in Newark And I got to fist bump one of my guitar heroes!!! So cool 😎
If aliens landed on earth an asked "What is Rock and Roll?" . . THIS would be the answer!
