The AUDACITY Derek had to call Meredith a whole when HE chose Addison. HE made that decision, and Mer's right, he doesn't control how she chooses to deal with that.

Derek is/was the most horrible main character grey’s ever had. Trick a young woman into loving him even though he was married chose his wife over the girl and yet wouldn’t let her move on and whenever she did he conveniently love her again. She decided not to jump right in because he broke her heart and he gaslight her into believing she have commitment issues when he just was smitten with someone else and when new girl finally slept with him he got bored and spun the block. Don’t get me started on cheating on his wives especially mer because she wouldn’t put her carrier on hold for him.

These are all amazing scenes and everything I love about this show. Every one of these actresses DELIVERED. Izzy's speech about her modelling career and every moment Meredith stood up to her mother are the best. And the last scene brought me to tears.

"And the good outweighed the bad until it didn't"... perfect way to summarise how abusive relationships work. Bc the same people who condemn those who end up in abusive relationships as "stupid", are the same ones who'll tell you you'll die alone for having high standards and cutting off someone for 1 red flag. "Be more forgiving. Dont you love him?" They'll say. But if he turns out to be an abuser its still your fault.

So...I didn't know that if I pretended it was "all okay" when I was sick for a long time....and forcing myself to focus only on the positive things...I would have the worst, lifelong C-PTSD. I have been sick since then...with YEARS of therapy, counseling, even medication. Toxic positivity...who knew back then. Now we know. It wasn't the hospitals fault that I had to hurt through all the bad things...but it hurt.
