thankyou I typed what are cover pots used for and now I know more than I even thought I wanted to know ... awesome
Greetings from Hawai’i. I love Hoya and yours are super! Thank you for sharing ❤
Just found your channel and I love this! I had a succulent plant business but now it's turned into a pottery small biz :D I loooove the Chrystalinum you bought, was a total score if you ask me!
It's Tottaly true. I got a habit of buying new plants only to kill it. 😂😂😂
How long does groventive stay affective once water is added. I always have spray left over. Seems a waste to throw away
My Thai is the 2.0 version and its variegation is very white, not creamy at all 🤷♀️
Oh man! I think I need a meredithii 😮😍
I have just found your store and videos and loving all the learning..looking forward to getting my grow lights and clear pots to save some of my plants....thanks for your work!
Aww thanks so much!
I love your Hoya video l do have some Hoya to
I think I'm a both kind of person😊
Just came across this channel......... I like it alot. 🙂
Awesome! 🤩
Que belleza 😍 nunca las avía visto desde Argentina Buenos Aires saludos 😊❤🎉
Nice Hoyas. Your trellis are not my kind. They look so prominent kind of stealing the show of the Hoya leaves. Consider simple wire trellis for future plants and see the difference. 💚💚
Hey! It's all a matter of opinion! I love them so I'll be leaving them as is :) You should try something like these! Maybe you'll be a convert 😜
Hi, I'm keen to get have a go at trying this, any pointers where to get the equipment needed here in NZ?
I don't sorry! I got these a long time ago
What a nice collection
Thank you :)
Oh my gosh I loved your orchid video! If you can’t tell I love orchids. I’m definitely a buy what I see I like it’s how I ended up with 58 orchids and 5 Hoyas and one very dramatic calathea. I was really hit hard by the orchid seedling fever just the mystery of not knowing what you’re going to get exactly ugh it’s addictive. I think right now my favorites include Phal Bronze Maiden it’s leaves are a lovely solid silver and for my birthday I picked up on a long time wishlist candidate the Stripe Type Schilleriana (promise you that’s probably not spelled correctly) I justified the cost because birthday orchids! And by Amber logic you definitely get to splurge on birthday orchids. Another longtime favorite Miltassia Charles M. Fitch 'Izumi' it’s gorgeous and makes a stunning plant with some maturity on it and the blooms are wonderfully tall and just eye catching and they smell great. I know you said you don’t like cattleyas but i actually got my first cattleya to bloom and I’m loving how fragrant it is. I can’t wait to see your orchid collection video and I loved your repotting video.
What a lovely collection of Hoyas you have. Your joy for your plants shines through your video. I’m just starting my Hoya collection and while just tiny bit late to the party I’m happy the prices have dropped some 😂
Oooh yeah I think you’ve come in at the right time for Hoya prices indeed! Thank you for your kind comment 💚
Hoya linearis seems to like more water then other hoya. It's probably dropping it's leaves from drying out for too long in my experience. You will have to do a lot of chopping and propping to get them full and bushy!
You're the second person that says they like more water than other Hoya! I'll try that!
Pests! Not piss! 🤣🤣🤣
?
Do you have a video on how to fill them once they are clipped together first? 😊
Hi how your room temperature and moisture and then in container
Парник в Австралии......парник......в Австралии, привет вам из Норвегии))
I am a leaf person and a beautiful & fragrant flower bloom is just a bonus. ❤❤❤.
Fair Enough! 💚
This is great timing, as I'm looking at this myself, but I was looking at the ones that have the zip away door cover, I have a question as I'm new to the whole grow tent, most I've seen have filters, also I'm guessing we don't need humidifiers in there? Can't wait to see how your anthuriums do in there, mine are mostly in my grow cabinet 😊
Honestly it’s been up and running for a few days now and the humidity has remained above 80% so definately no need for a humidifier at those point! We will have to see how it goes in the summer though!
Wow all the hojas just beautiful
Hello. Great job done there. Regarding trays, I bought the BAGGMUCK Shoe mat from Ikea. I have checked the NZ ikea page and they also have it. Not sure if it is deep enough but worth having a look at. I use them all the time with plant jobs
Thanks for the suggestion! NZ doesn't have Ikea yet 💚
@@GrowingGreenNZ wow, I googled Ikea NZ and it looked like there was a store. I googled again and looks like one may be coming in 2025
@@margimorris7360 yes! That’s correct it’s coming! Not soon enough… 😂 I can’t wait!
Rachael, so many Hoya!!
Oh yay that’s the exact same tent as mine!! Love it ❤ everything grows so fast that I always have a peek through the window every morning when my coffee is brewing 😝
Oh cool!!! 😍 honestly I giggle like a little kid opening that window every morning 😂 just on the odd chance they’ve exploded with growth 😍😍
My friend has just bought one & she loves it 🥰
That’s good to hear!!
Hi Rachael. I can't wait to see the end result. Wow, it looks cool
Thanks for watching! I plan on making an update in a few months time!
Hi Rachel. I could feel your excitement when you were setting up the tent. It looks great and will no doubt be an asset to help grow some fabulous plants. Look forward to seeing the progress with the plants in your new tent. Thanks for taking us along on this grow tent set up.
It was SOOO exciting! 😍 Thank YOU for watching! I really appreciate it & your kind comment 💚
Absolutely loved your video…so many hoyas n so much content. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much 💚
I am a hoya person for foliage. I have yet to get one to flower. I am hoping I will get them to flower now with more grow lights. Then perhaps I will change my stance. ;)
Hehe I was indeed going to suggest more light! 💚
Would you send the link to the cloning solution please?

I wish I could get a hold of NZ tree fern fibre! Soooo expensive here in Canada !
Oh hey!! I’m coming to Canada soon for a holiday!! And yeah it’s already not the cheapest here I can imagine!
Glad I found your channel! I’m still a “buy a Hoya because of its foliage” gal, I’m only 1.5 yrs in to being a full plant mom so haven’t had any of mine bloom yet. Loved the rate of movement in this video and I enjoy peeps who speak more quickly, I like to take in as much info, as fast as I can so this vid was perfect for me. My Curtsii tips dry out too, not sure why, it’s bushy now though! My carnosa compactas (Hindu ropes) are my favs, I’ll pot them up together when they get bigger
Thanks for watching!! Yeah I try talk fairly quick or I cut out awkward pauses. There is nothing worse than watching a video and having to sit through long pauses or watching someone get distracted 🫣😂
Good morning and enjoyed your video! Just wondering what potting media you have your gorgeous phal lio in?
Hey! I have them in a mix of tree fern & orchid bark! Check out my latest orchid re-potting video 💚
Thank you! I have never worked with Tree fern...is the consistancy like peat?
@@leighannfedorowich6176 it’s hard to describe its consistency! It’s…Ferny? Haha not as spongy as peat
Where are the washers used?
Hiya, what is the name of that plant about 8 seconds in? (not the monstera) It's beautiful!
Hi Rachel, I’ve been growing orchids for about 25 years and tried my hand at a lot of different orchids but still don’t really have a favourite. We moved from acreage to a retirement village so had to downsize considerably. I would maybe say now though that I’m leaning towards phalaenopsis because they are the easiest for me to grow indoors under lights. I must say I shared your excitement when you found those little plants in with your belina, what a bonus! Lucky you. Thanks for taking us along in your repot and chat, I very much enjoyed watching.
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and leave such a nice comment!! 💚💚
Please come and repot mine please xx
I can if you want 💚
I love orchids ❤so happy you are making some orchid videos😊I have really been enjoying watching your videos thank you❤
Aww that makes me sooo happy!💚
I have anosmia so buy if its a pretty flower. I really enjoy missorchidgirl's channel. Theres a guy from indonesia who i also enjoy watching. I cant remember his name though
Oh yes! Missorchidforl is awesome! Thanks for watching 💚
I'm buy what I see type girl, never been to an orchid show, my dad and big bro did that, I tend to get the clearance ones, as I like to try and save them, but perfume ones are my addiction 😊
Interesting! I'm the same! I also try with the rescue ones every now and then (when I can be bothered) 😂
I put my linearis into pon and it loves it. It even gave me a peduncle so I’m crossing my fingers and hoping I get a bloom this season 🤞🏽
I may give that a go!
Hoyas are my favorite species!
I kinda wanna get filming again and do one of these but I just counted and I have nearly 80 species of hoya soooo lol that kinda puts me off haha
Do it!! Honestly used to watch all your videos 💚 people will love it! They’re so much fun to watch 🙏
Watching your videos definitely inspired me to do it lol. Whether I do or not is another thing. Idk if this is what it is but all my hoya Ive had issues with growing where the growth tip kept dying Ive treated as if they have flat mites, whether I can see they do or not, so sprayed the growth tips with Enspray and now theyre all finally growing! Also! If you chop and prop and sell some of your krohniana splash and rosita.. Id be keen! Ive been waiting to replace my krohniana splash that died but havent seen any Mum plants Ive liked and my rosita keeps dying so if you have a relatively biggish cutting to sell thatd be great! Just btw. Lol.
@@lisalovesleaves1326 hahaa I’ll keep you in mind! And indeed someone else suggested the flat mite thing so I’ll give it a go’
Hi Rachel. Thanks for taking the time to show us your Hoya collection. Very impressive! I wish I had the space to have a few more Hoyas, I’m really beginning to get hooked on them, they can be quite addictive if that’s the way to describe an obsession.
Thanks for taking the time to watch! They’re super addictive 😂🫣
Beautiful Hoya Collection. I missed the last Auckland plant market. I got most of my Hoyas from Hoya obsession in Hamilton. I am both foliage and scented flowers❤❤ I am interested in buying a cutting of Hoya Merdithii whenever you want to sell
Hopefully you can make it to the next one in October! Keep an eye out on our website 💚
I love my Hoya. I also recently just posted a video on my collection and I felt I said a lot of the same. “This Hoya I’ve struggled with” lol😂 but it’s weird because the ones I have that thrive are like weeds. Then I have my linearis that’s basically dead at this point. lol. I feel you. Amazing collection!
HAH so relatable right?! So glad to know I'm not the only one 💚 thank you for watching & commenting!
Self watering pots are the way to go with linearis.
@@chomama1628 thank you so much for the tip! Thank you for watching and for the support! 💚
