it`ll cut the basic shape out, and maybe things like the magwell if you drill a pilot hole, but your not doing much in terms of work around the trigger pack and what not, think of what this can do like a really precise bandsaw

The magic of 3D printing is you can take some simple measurements and with a bit of work in CAD create a purpose built part for darn near anything. It requires far less work and setup compared to something like woodworking or CNC or other manufacturing methods and often still exceeds the mechanical needs of the application. It can get tempting to search around your home and find every place to micro-organize your life, and if that’s what you want to do then do it, but it’s nice to remember that your printer is as much a tool as it is a thing you can use to make toys

2:48:10 You don't have to use a macro to save a new z offset for the Beacon probe. You can use it just like any other z probe. You just micro step with the normal mainsail or fluid buttons. When you microstep the save and clear buttons auto appear right above. Just hit save to save the z offset adjustment to the Beacon profile you are using and Mainsail will auto prompt you to save and restart.

23:45 but 33°c that’s an ambient operating temp if things fail less than 40°C you don’t have good gear. The petg part won’t see issues till they’re closer to the glass transition right?

VZBOT vs Voron 2.4. - what the difference or benefit. Is the vzbot just a go on 2.x on steroids (gamersupps). Is the value for money there as on cost benefit analysis or is just fricken cool? It would be cool to do a vzbot but is the cost worth it….

No not at all, I use it far more than I thought I would when I first got it. I mean it's not on the go all the time, but there is a steady trickle of things I need it for - and some of those things can take some time to print, or design. So what do I print: I ride EUC's, so handles, foot rests, TFU seat, light brackets. Into electronics, radio, so instrument boxes and panels, stands, brackets replacement bits. The car, mounts, bits and pieces Models - space hardware, ex Satcoms Engineer The usual, mobile phone stands, xmas decorations, badges and labels Into classic audio equipment and have had to replace broken parts Workshop bits, vice jaw guards, peg board hooks 3D Printing - too much for the 3d printer to list

Hey great video. I really enjoy these types of videos from you. My practical everyday use printed item is my phone case among several other things of course, but everyone has a phone and can easily print a case in tpu on most modern printers. One of my favorite at home prints is a shroud to cover the wires for my pc and monitor. I have a corner desk and everything is mounted in the corner so I modeled up a shroud to go from my desk to monitor to cover the wires and then I put in cutouts in the shroud to fit my USB hubs, smart watch charger, a shelf for my surround sound controller and a few other things so it keeps everything off of the desk and looks super clean.

Yet another reason for not putting so much of our technological eggs in one basket. Also, given this when will it be extended to include $1T+ companies whom have most of their greedy priced items manufactured and imported from certain countries. Or are they exempt, whereby the little guy is the only one(s) that are harmed from such sanctions?

We bought replacement entry lights hanging from a 20 foot ceiling. The replacements are meant for new construction, which I knew because there is nothing to hide connections made if you want to cut the wires to the old ones, and 20 foot ceiling so yeah. So I 3d printed cups that fit these lights to hide the connections and painted them close enough they don't stand out. This printer is very useful.

Practical prints arebmy favorite. I printed a bushing for the tailgate of my truck and yeah it would only have been $10 but for like $1 in filament and 20 minutes of time i had that bushing and extras and didn't have to wait for the part to arrive.

What do you mean by VR has kinda died down? It's not just a trend, many people's job is to just work on "a dead trend." There are many more advenced headsets than the Rift series, ask me how I know, a few years back I go an oculus 2 and I still play it to today with many many games that always have people online.

I just dont think this is the right form factor for a desktop machine. This is more like a mill. I think for desktop the router style CNC's make more sense. And for the cost you can get some pretty decent ones these days, and because they have a decently sized build area they can upgrade themselves.

I am REALLY glad I found this video. I have been in the hobby <1 year and I am ready to step up from my a3pro. The Voron has always intrigued me, but my life right now requires a more plug and play printer. When I saw commercial voron I was stoked, and was ready to pull the trigger. This video potentially saved me money and frustration! Thanks!!
