"Records In My Life" asks musicians about the music they love.
For the past four years Charles Brownstein and Mark Henning have been interviewing recording artists about the music that inspires them. Charles is the driving force behind the Northern Transmissions.com music website while Mark is a long term musician, record producer turned videographer and editor. RIML has amassed over 240 interviews with artists ranging from Paul Weller, Aurora, Gary Numan to Phoebe Bridgers and Metallica. We are very proud of this series and have benefited greatly from all the brilliant people we've met over the years. With that in mind it would be an honour to have your support for the channel through our Patreon page. (link down below). Thank you for checking us out and please stayed tuned!

Brah, they introduce themselves in the very beginning. Strong attention span
yes it has gotten better and better. Keep going. Your life long fans love you and would love more. You are a true artist that needs to just do what you would do.
that's so cool he was so excited by his brand new huge sounds. That excitement is still felt in that music, to this day... it still feels so exciting. whenever I play it out in public people comment on it. many never heard it but they still feel the total power in it. I love telling them it's from 40 yrs ago :)

As bad as Trump seemed to me in 2016, the past 4 years has shown how much WORSE Biden is. HORRIBLE. We have a dictatorship now. Joey means well.......
Could listen to Pomme speaking for all day long ❤
Talk about a down to earth, laid back cool guy. Hope to meet him some day.
Thumbs up if L.C picked your favourite Mahler track!!! I usually struggle to remember which Mahler piece is the reason I own the boxed Leonard Bernstein collection. Got the box because I knew it would be there somewhere. Bent the cardboard sleeve to tell me 'its somewhere here' Awesome stuff to know L.C loves that same track most of all. So many small nuances in there, I have yet to hear any place else, that just set off goosepimples.
This is Awesome! I have been waiting for this from Charles. Thank you! 🎸
We all know your favorite album is BJM methadrone and BJM satanic majesties second request hee hee hee

What interesting, articulate responses. I need to seek out some Charles Cross books now. I gather there’s nine of them. Thanks for this video.

him not liking drake aged like fine wine
If Courtney had been able to get the notes of Killer Queen down when he first heard it - then shoved it to the world, he could have cleaned up, 'cos Queen didn't release it until 1974 - clearly having sucked it out his mind a few years earlier through some reverse freaky radio experiment...
Thank you for the insight , appreciate you checking out RIML. XC
fun fact about Joesph Zawinul: he once airbrushed ( painted Arnold Schwarzenegger´s helicopter when he was broke. Austrian brotherhood, I guess....
