I bet this is one reason EVERYBODY's car insurance rates increased recently.
Many insurance companies for example deliberately have very high insurance premiums for motorcycles because they just don't want to insure them. The same thing is happening now for EVs. It won't be long before some insurance companies will refuse to insure EVs because of the costs.

This is what happens when government mandates something the public doesn't want. Also, they mandate EVs and fine the automakers that sell V8s, without thinking about the total plan or full impact of their actions.
I have 2 gas powered vehicles. Both Japanese a Toyota small car and an Isuzu SUV. I have no plan of buying an EV not now maybe just maybe in the future. if they have addressed all the issues you have mentioned.
No desire to buy a stupid EV, toxic batteries will kill and pollution at the end of their life.

There are no benefits from ev mining colbolt destroys the earth they go straight to scrap in 5 yrs it takes 10 yrs to get to the same pollution level as gas just making the car. They run on electric which is provided by coal or nuclear energy tons of pollution there that takes hundreds of yrs to stabilize. Your first mistake was to mention: "the environmental benefits of EVs"; there are no benefits, only destruction on a planetary scale and untold pollution threatening humanity itself!
The only benefit is 'zero tailpipe emissions'. That's not zero emissions, it just means the emissions are produced somewhere else. Together with the environmental cost of manufacture (also very often in a foreign country so the nation where they're sold can claim reduced domestic emissions and a clear conscience!) and the costs of infrastructure etc, it's a stretch to claim any Real environmental advantages.
Also stress and anxiety and too worry about battery getting low is not very relaxing. And no radio or music to listen is sad!
More automakers will soon out of business as bankrupt cause they can't sell EV vehicles as it too expensive like insurance may not cover for write off Ev vehicles after accidents and may not cover for batteries replacement as it so expensive and no one wants it.
No lithium batteries are not environmentally friendly and cannot recycle same on laptop, phones and e bikes. They fire prone too easy to explode like fireworks. Imagine billions of batteries will pile up in warehouse spaces cause it cannot go to landfill. Mining more for cobalt, etc. will run out for making billions of electric cars. More billions of electric cars can't cope with grid electricity to charge. Hybrid, petrol, Diesel or gas is way better to just fill up in stations and safer. Also there is more old age population growing.

🔌🔌How about all the cobalt that is used by refineries to remove sulfur during the refinery process? With the new hybrid solid state and LFP EV batteries that have no cobalt, refiners will dominate the world's use of cobalt by 2030. So far over 50 diesel semis have been driven by an autopilot from Tucson to Casa Grande AZ and the ports of LA to Las Vegas and Goodeyear AZ. Keep in mind when I recently retired as a Power Generation Engineer working on emissions for Cummins there were 52 EV passenger vehicle fires in the USA in 2023 and 199,000+ petero fires. Based on sales volume you have over 30 times more chances of a petro fire and over 100% dying in a petro engine fire because there were no reported deaths in the US due to EV fires. 🔌🔌

Corect. EVs in general have more problems. Tesla's have less. All other manufacturers of EVs SUCK in comparison to Tesla. It's funny you put Elon pic on the title, when he makes the BEST EVs on the planet that best almost every ICE car on the planet for reliability.

Teslas have an issue where if you get in an accident they are written off by insurance company at a higher rate than other vehicles. Also their repair costs are high.
