This is the video that got me into serious moveset design, and I’d personally want to say thank you for making something as beautiful as this. First watched this video a year ago, and I’m finally getting a second rewatch of this masterpiece. I literally can’t think of any ways to improve upon this gameplay wise, it matches the hectic speed of Pizza Tower to a T and I absolutely love it. His weird physique and disjoints, unique mechanic that actually adds something I want in Smash… a straight up command run… it’s all amazing! You rock, dude. Keep up the good work! Seriously!

My idea for a final smash: genesis burst: x is surrounded by cyber elf versions of the mavericks he's slain, which spin around at rapid speeds, covers G a medium area around him. This deals 50 damage. The elves than fuse with his blaster, using the Messiah cannon after a while, dealing 100 damage in a blast similar to the zero laser, it als gives him a charge shot. Enemies hit by the initial elf attack ate unable to move until the beam is used. The beam also pierces walls and enemies

MatPat should see this video; he made a bunch of calculations to determine that Ridley’s side special is the deadliest move in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and some of E.M.M.I.’s moves, at least at first glance, make turning mario into a human eraser on a rock look like being slapped by an octopus.

I'm the one who created the Bomberman moveset, though I missed this stream. The Bomberman moveset is derived primarily from his N64 and GameCube games, hence the spherical explosions. It's also meant to have Bomberman constantly repositioning his bombs up until they explode (and the opponents trying to knock the bombs away). The moveset is also outdated (this version is made for Smash 4, and I'm no longer able to edit that post), and here's some changes that I would make: -Get rid of the X Bomb, Bob-omb, Gooey Bomb, and Smart Bomb. This pares the selection down to 8 bombs, which would allow Bomb Select to work by just pushing the control stick in one of eight directions, and also puts the focus on Bomberman’s own bombs, with their delayed explosions, instead of stuff that goes off in the opponent's face regardless of how they're thrown at them. -A lot of the explosion timers are admittedly a bit ridiculously long for Smash; I had Bomberman's own games in mind. The damage output is also admittedly a bit overtuned, but that was done on purpose to make the bombs a legitimate threat that opponents would do everything in their power to avoid, forcing Bomberman to put in effort to catch his enemies in the blast. -Since custom specials aren't a thing in Ultimate, the bomb limit would just be 8. -Since the Lightning Bomb's thing is being multi-hit, it should probably have more damage and less knockback than the Fire Bomb instead of the other way around. As for the ideas expressed in the stream: -Giving Bomberman Remote Control by default and giving his bombs a time limit that they have to be detonated in is interesting, but the bombs taking time to explode is intended to be the primary balancing factor for their high damage and KO power; obviously, your opponents will be trying to stay away from your bombs and/or knock them away from themselves (and towards you), so Bomberman is supposed to be constantly knocking his bombs towards his opponents. (I did admittedly give Bomberman a few too many moves that pull bombs out and not enough moves that knock bombs around. Whoops. Yeah, in hindsight, pulling out bombs with the forward and up aerials was kind of dumb.) Some of Bomberman's moves do make bombs explode more-or-less immediately, but I intentionally wrote exceptions in those for the Napalm and Gravity/Shadow Bombs because those are so ridiculously strong that being able to set them off in an opponent's face at will without putting substantial effort into setting it up would be broken as hell. (FeliciaFan went on at length about Napalm Bombs doing 60% damage and KO'ing stupidly early, but he completely missed that Shadow Bombs are a freaking *INSTANT KILL* like Triforce of Wisdom when the opponent's over 100%, except Shadow Bomb can kill at any percent. The balancing factor for both the Napalm and Gravity Bomb, aside from the long explosion time, is that they can kill Bomberman just as easily, and the opponent is perfectly capable of knocking them towards him at the worst possible time so they go off in *his* face. Heck, aside from the Wind Bomb (and the Ice and Light Bombs to lesser extents), *all* of Bomberman's bombs are just as dangerous to him as they are to his opponents; he's supposed to have a steep learning curve and be tricky to get good results with.) The explosion times for each bomb type are consistent, so you do know when they are going to go off and can (and are supposed to) plan around that. -You can still button mash out of being pinned by the jab finisher or down throw, and at lower percents, it is very possible to break out in time to punish Bomberman for trying. (I wrote the Down Smash to disallow this, but in hindsight, that *is* kind of unfair… but not as unfair as it looks at first glance. The saving grace here is that the opponent would be pushed off most stages (especially most competitive-legal stages) and be able to get away from most bombs quite a while before they would explode. Once the opponent is off-stage, they're not pinned anymore and can act freely, and yes, that *does* mean that they can immediately jump towards the ledge and get back on the stage.) Admittedly, the main reason why I included the bomb-pinning mechanic in the first place is that I thought it was funny. (The back throw is also a reference to how if you screw up bomb jumping in Bomberman 64, you can get conked in the head with your bombs over and over and over and over and it's really freaking frustrating to get back to solid ground to try again.) -Rolling Bomb still obeys bomb deployment limits, which means only one Napalm Bomb or Gravity Bomb can be thrown at a time (and throwing more than one Light Bomb isn't possible either with the 8-bomb limit). Charging Rolling Bomb with those bomb types just results in the bomb being thrown farther. -I agree that the "using the foe as a shield" part of the forward throw shouldn't protect against moves that are designed to pierce multiple players, like Byleth's Failnaught. What I had in mind here was that if Bomberman's hurtbox just happens to be caught up in the hitbox of a move that would hit his carried opponent, then Bomberman is unaffected as long as he's facing the attack (*unless* the move in question is something that is *designed* to be a "piercing" attack). -The ledge attack is complex the way it is because part of its purpose is to hit opponents trying to steal the ledge from Bomberman. Indeed, it's moreso intended for that purpose than hitting opponents on-stage. (It also has very high end-lag, so using it when an opponent is in front of you and not hitting them is going to get you smacked back off the stage.)

If they ever do another Street Fighter character in Smash, Chun Li is a guarantee. Can’t imagine they’d go with anyone else after Ryu and Ken. Even if, let’s say, Ken gets cut from the next game and Ryu stays. It would be a bizarre and mind boggling choice to go with anyone else. Even if those choices are echos. (Akuma, Gouken, or Sakura) I do hope she gets into Smash one day though if they make a new one. She’s one of those characters that should’ve been in a long time ago.

With the Elden Ring DLC out, I wanted to share my concept of how I would implement the Tarnished moveset in Super Smash Bros. The unique aspect of the Tarnished is that before the match starts, when selecting the Tarnished, you get to choose from a variety of weapons, spells, and incantations. The distinctive mechanic of the Tarnished is the four-window display over the percentage UI, similar to Elden Ring. The selected spells and weapons will be placed in these four windows: the upper window for spells/incantations, the right window for weapons, the left window for wands/seals, and the bottom window for flasks. The Tarnished can cycle through them using the taunt button, with each direction corresponding to a different window. This feature makes it feel like you're playing Elden Ring. The neutral special will be the selected spell or incantation, which can be quickly cycled using the up taunt. However, you need to ensure you are using a wand for spells and a seal for incantations by using the side taunt. The side special will utilize the weapon’s skill art (e.g., Taker's Flame skill with the Blasphemous Blade which has armour and can recover 2% or Corpse Piler with Rivers of Blood which can inflict bleed which will be represented by a meter over the opponents percentage UI,etc).(others like rot, madness would also be available through incantations, spells, weapons) For the up special, the Tarnished rides Torrent and leaps high into the air with wind blowing upwards. The down special allows the use of four red flasks for health recovery (healing about 5% per flask) and four blue flasks to recover the MP meter(similar to Hero's mechanic) per stock. The MP meter doesn’t auto-recover and can be exhausted by using side or neutral specials. Regarding normal attacks, each weapon type will have a unique moveset (e.g., daggers, broadswords, hammers), and their smash attacks will incorporate some of the Ash of War skills for each weapon type. The same applies to aerials. (with a maximum for three different weapons and there weight can affect the speed of your doge rolls) For example, you could choose Golden Vow or Flame, Grant Me Strength to buff yourself or use elemental armaments on your weapons. You could also select Marika's Hammer with its skill. The idea is to allow players to choose their playstyle with the variety of spells and weapons, making it feel like you’re playing Elden Ring in Smash. Most likely, the armor would be the Raging Wolf set. The taunts will be assigned to R3 which will cycle too lol Even if there is a Smash 6 or additional DLC for Ultimate on switch 2, the Tarnished would take a long time to develop this mechanic. However, since they implemented Hero, I think it’s possible. I’d love to know people’s opinions on this.

I think Dark Matter's up tilt could work better if there was a sizeable delay between the sword swing and the small projectiles spawning. It means you take the full knockback from the main attack, but the mini projectiles can potentially rack up a bit more damage and even force the opponent into retreating instead of trying to play aggressively afterwards. Although, the idea seems a bit complex for an up tilt, at least a standard one. Maybe Dark Matter could instead have a comeback mechanic, maybe after taking a certain amount of damage just like most of the Kirby bosses, where its normals now spawn in small projectiles afterwards, similar to how up tilt is shown. It replicates the whole "second phase" idea which most Kirby bosses have nowadays - making the general attacks remain the same but slightly harder to deal with now.
