I was wanting to do the same thing ! But I was told online a tourist couldn’t buy a vehicle in Malaysia on a tourist visa ? Why didn’t you guys go to Vietnam? Do they allow a foreign vehicle to drive into Vietnam?
@@MangoKashInThePhilippines Hi, we were on the 90 days visa exemption when we legally purchased the car and registered it in Murray’s name, no problem. Vietnam does not allow right hand drive cars into the country, sadly 😢
@@adventureswithtoyahandmurray thank you
Hey guys 👋🏽 We’ve been off YT for a while and now finally catching up on your vids. Love the exploration here. Thanks for sharing Not a fan of stairs here either 😅
@@miaandryanadvantures Hey! Thanks for watching ☺️ we have had a break from KZread too, it took ages to finish editing all those road trip videos😅 now chilling for a month or two in Chiang Mai. How about you guys, still travelling?
Yes what to do..this is how the used car business model works..the same car easily they can sell it again for 10k at least
@@justrk3980 yes, that’s how they make money. We knew that would be the case, so no surprises here.
Now, that's a resort!😁😁😁
@@nickloong it was so nice 🤩💖 we didn’t want to leave
@@adventureswithtoyahandmurray Thanks for sharing such a gem. I'll definitely be checking the place out in my next Da Nang trip!😁✌️

Gonna miss your road trip vlogs. It was fun, while it lasted. Thanks for sharing your experiences earthlings!😂😂😂
@@nickloong Thank you for watching 😁 We are still travelling the world, slowly, full time, so we will have plenty more adventures to come, we might even buy another vehicle in another country some day.
These cats are your guardian angels when you're travelling. They're known to ward off evil and bad energy as long as they're not all black! And ya, thanks for the candid UFO tune..😂😂 Stay safe fellow earthlings!
w0w..such a great deal for those who get that car..
@@askarsepoi yes, totally!!
I remember Luang Prabhang as a rustic town and the waterfalls was probably the best I'd ever seen. Also indulged myself in Vang Vieng's friendly buds and more cafes. Looks like you guys are good having fun. Enjoy.
@@ThisnametaKenny We think the waterfalls were the best we’ve ever seen too 🤩 We really did have a lovely time in both of those beautiful towns 💖💖
Thanks for not torturing the little Myvi on the horrendous roads to Luang Prabang. The little guy is family now i guess? Toyah looked like she was in Kill Bill mode when you expressed dissatisfaction of the USD 50 per night crappy room.Lol😅😅
@@nickloong Hi 😁 yes, it was good to get the Myvi back 💖 Kill Bill mode 😂😂 I was tired and grumpy from lack of sleep because the hotel was so loud from all the bus loads of tourists 😂 they need better walls!
Hi both, where is your Myvy?
@@aweeskitchen3422 Hi, it’s at the train station car park, we pick it up at the end of the episode.
Awesom3 place. We went there at the start of the year. Bit of a bugger to get to thou. Better than tioman
@@outofbounds2022 it was so beautiful 😍
sy pernah drive myvi sy..jalan dia lebih truk dari ini..
Hi, do you folks know how long can a malaysia registered car stay in thailand?
Hi, yes we do know, frustratingly only 30 days, however we did recently see some KZreadrs travelling in their English registered van get an extension while they were in Thailand, we didn’t try this because customs at the Malaysian/Thai border said it can’t be done so we assumed they were right. We drove through Thailand to the Cambodian border in 30 days, we would have preferred to stay in Thailand longer and explore more.
Been wanting to ask, Using Perodua MYVI, do you get any sponsorship?. Each time you do mentioned "". Using a Malaysian car. "".
Hi, good question, we wish they would give us some money 😂 but no, we don’t get any sponsorship, we mention the car because a lot of our viewers are from Malaysia and are fans of the Myvi, Malaysian people are proud of their country and what they make. Considering that little car made it all that way with no problems, they should be proud. We don’t have any sponsorship and we don’t get anything for free, we don’t do in video ads, everything we have done, eaten and all our accommodation has been paid for by us. If we ever get anything for free or sponsorship, we will say so in the video.
The roads are horrendous...😢 I pity the little Malaysian car. Hope it is holding up. I'm actually surprised by how expensive the vegan meals are in Laos.😅
Yeah, the roads are shocking 😳 the car has been amazing, it really is a legend car 💪 I do think all the preventative work we had done to it in Malaysia really helped 👍 We found the food in Cambodia to be more expensive, so we actually thought it was quite cheap after travelling through Cambodia, it was a bit of a relief because Cambodia was the most expensive country we have been to so far, besides Singapore of course 😂
Where's this field of gold located in Malaysia?😅
Hey 😁 it’s Malaysia Heritage Studios or also known as Mini Malaysia, it’s a very strange theme park/ cultural park combined with stuff that has nothing to do with Malaysia, as far as I know, a very unusual experience 😂😂 I really loved the field of gold room, so magical 🌈
What a happy couple! Love it.
What a nice comment, thank you ☺️ We are very happy because we have each other 💖
Looks like the roads havent improved much from the time when I was there few years ago.
Yeah, they got even worse as we headed towards Vientiane 😳
By the way, was that Swatsquash jumping into the crystal clear natural pool?😂😂😂
I was more concerned about the snake swimming in the water 😬😳💀💀💀😂
@adventureswithtoyahandmurray 😅😂😅Stay safe guys!
So where's the protein going to come from since vegetarian food supplies are so limited? No tofu or eggs at the markets??😅
Good question, vegans don’t eat eggs so that’s not a problem, lots of people think of tofu when they think of vegan food, however we don’t actually eat very much tofu usually, we do eat it a lot at vegan Asian restaurants, because they use it a lot in Asian cuisine, but when we cook our own food, we only use it occasionally, so that wasn’t a problem either. We knew we would have trouble finding vegan food driving through remote areas of these countries, so we were very well prepared, we had 2 large boxes in the car full of pantry items, many of which are high in protein, for example we had a wide variety of nuts and seeds, beans and lentils, textured soy protein (kind of like dried tofu) tahini and we had chickpea flour, which I used to make the vegetable paddies we ate in the video, along with plenty of other pantry items for cooking. Although protein is actually pretty overrated, it’s in almost all natural plant based foods and most people have too much protein in their diets, which causes weight gain, adding extra protein to your diet is really only good for body builders or people who have very physically hard jobs. As a middle aged lady I don’t need much protein in my diet at all and Murray gets plenty in all the food he eats. The only thing we really missed was chicpeas. Such a long response 😂😂
@adventureswithtoyahandmurray Wow...That's a very informative and elaborate response to my questions. Thanks!😁

Pathfinders. I have been to Pakhse. All up that way. Or down.

Howdy mate 👍 yes, it was a great price and a great little car 💖
Came across your channel. How old or new is the MyVi?
Hi, the Myvi is a 2007 model. Thanks for watching 😁

Awesome! Thanks for watching and subscribing 💖💖💖
The road quality in these countries are really challenging, especially for the little workhorse Myvi. Don't stop monitoring the skies, you might catch some interesting objects near the historical sites.Lol😅
Yes, the roads in Laos are the worst we’ve seen 😳 The truth is out there 🛸👽😅
Great journey with Malaysia car 🚗…and what’s the next country?
After we travel in Laos, we will drive back through Thailand, back to Malaysia to sell the car, then fly to Vietnam, we are not allowed to take the car into Vietnam.
👏🏻👏🏻
Interesting! Enjoy your trip in Laos.
Thank you 😀
I am aussie. I tried to buy a car in penang on a tourist visa. They said no. How did you do it ?
Hi, the first JPJ we went to also said no, it’s common in Malaysia for people to just say no when they don’t know how to do something, once they say no it’s pretty much impossible to change their mind 😅. We bought our car in Ipoh, we bought it from a car dealer who organised everything for us, and you have to have an address in Malaysia to buy a car, so we used the dealerships address. When we were looking at cars, one of the dealers told us that there is an extra fee for foreigners to buy a car, this is not true. Who said no? The JPJ or a car dealer?
Jpj in penang said no i know ipoh. I was going to buy a proton from a friend. Anyway thanks for info. Gonna check out some of your vids about going to thailand etc.. thats my nest trip in 2006.
The mechanic didn't wear gloves...😢
Yes, we see that a lot in Asia, we also often see people welding without eye protection or working on high buildings without ropes, lots of things like that, it is very worrying for their health and safety 😢
Don't forget to tint those glass, super hot bring the heat down
Try to discover the beauty of the Bayon Temple and the history behind this cool looking temple. Your hotel footage must have been taken by some unseen forces that dissappears.😅😅
😂 yes, it’s very strange how it disappeared 😳
@adventureswithtoyahandmurray Or maybe you accidentally caught a clip of an alien 👽 in your hotel footage that they didn't want you to post???Lol
@@nickloong 😲😳😅

Don't forget to bring Ipoh to.... Ipoh 😁

Good morning friend 💖
The only good thing about Covid was that when we visited Angkor Temples and Angkor Wat there were zero tourists .. I was also the only person at the ticket office
Wow! That would have been amazing 😲
i think the rat droppings soup refers to the type of noodle which is the Cambodian pin noodle. you can also find this type of noodle in Malaysia and Singapore and it's called the rat noodle in Chinese. lol
It’s not a very appealing name 😂😂😂
Mmm must be hard to drive on the right side country with the right hand drive car especially on busy highways?
You do get used to it, the problem is, sometimes it’s easy to forget which side you are supposed to be on, especially when it keeps changing from country to country 😅
It can also be difficult when overtaking, because you can’t see what’s coming properly from the drivers seat, so the passenger has to tell you if anything is coming 😬
