Hey everyone and welcome to the Cobbler G Shoe Repair channel. My name is Mark Gibson and I have been repairing shoes for the past several years and ever since I stepped into the workshop, I have absolutely fallen in love with this craft!
In this channel you will find all topics related to Shoe Repair and Restoration. From the small everyday 'bread and butter' jobs, how to take care of your shoes, what brands are good and what to avoid, right up to the massive detailed Restoration work we take on, highlighting in detail what we do during the repair and why!
It's amazing to see what can really be done to a pair of shoes that are at the end of their life, with the right type of care we can resurrect the most worn out shoes and boots back from the grave and into brand new pairs ready for another round.
Mad Respect to all of you who have come across the channel and shown support, I cannot thank you enough.

Excellent video
Thanks!
I ❤ this masterpiece
I could vibe to this music man, nice choice. Kinda makes me wish i could go to a boot club, get my shoes resoled and have a whiskey and cigarette while i wait, listening to some jazz
Just a shame not more repairs come through our doors like that fellow timpson part of the family
They come through my doors on the daily!
Honest answer please. This can be for any cobbler. Is it that other shops cant fix "it", or do a lot of cobblers just not want to be bothered with detail work?
boy you have amazing hair I love watching you work but stitch all the soles
Take the laces of I would say before working on them, wouldn’t that be easier? Beautiful job!
Amazing work, brother! If I ever need a pair of sneakers in need co customization, I will fly them to your shop. Mad respect form San Diego, CA
There's something oddly satisfying about watching a boot be resoled
What a makeover Mark! There's certainly a lot of work that goes into a resurrection like this! They look great @CobblerG
Thanks dude!!!
Hi Cobbler G! What great videos!😀 I'm wondering now if vintage golf shoes with metal spikes can be changed into modern day changeable plastic spikes🤔
Yes they can no problem. Thanks!
Lovely craftsmanship as always, G!
Very slick.
Just got four pair done. Bravo!
Which rw mocs are those? I wish my 1907’s had two speed hooks..!
Awesome work mate always a cracking job
100% práca, už je málo takých majstrov čo to vedia spraviť. A na tvoj vek, si proste macher 👍👍👍👍👍. Ak smiem vedieť, koľko by ma stála taká oprava? S pozdravom Silvester Morgos, Slovakia
That layer of cork should have been totally leveled and sanded, seem to me that an uneven layer of cork would feel very uncomfortable.
I would much rather not have the music
Great work and editing quality G, keep it up
Beautiful job, an absolute treat to watch a real craftsman.
Стричься тоже никакого cмысла нет.К старости сама собою облысеет голова)))
Beautiful job.
Wow !!! A real artist ! What the human hand can do !!!!!!!!
Ottimo capolavoro! Bravissimo Maestro! 👏🏻👏🏻🍾🥂👊🏻
Bravissimo!!!!👏🏻👏🏻🍾🥂👊🏻
so awesome to see there are still cobblers that really know their trade, and hopefully inspire others to follow your example... but the one question I have asked many times and never received a satisfactory answer was .... why is the are in front of the heel always left uncovered and left to be susceptible the the water and dirt... thus deteriorating much sooner. I have worn cowboy boots for years and I always ask the cobbler to take the rubber sole all the way back to the from to the heel, thus extending the life of the sole...
Essentially this part is never walked on. So it doesn't really wear that much, so we protect the area that is going to hit the ground instead of going the full way back where its really not necessary to have rubber over.
So you’re back at Timpson. Did they make you an offer you couldn’t refuse or did things just not work out at Langley?
As per usual Mark, great skills shown in a great video. A great project resoling those classy shoes. Keep up the great work. Shine On bro
Thanks as always brother! Good to hear from ya. All the best G
Great super job G outstanding finish well done 👍 ❤
Cheers brother!
Top quality workmanship, and a great result. Nice video production. Bet the owner is delighted !
Beautiful job on those! What brand of heel is that?
I’ve been watching you and others (like Bedos and Trenton) I’ve got around $20 k I can spend on expenses. Any advice. I’ve been super passionate for over a year….. coming from a completely different industry (wi fi networks with computers) but I did that for like a few cases, and my depression has me slacking. Just any words of advice would help me!
I’m in the dumps unfortunately. I love your vids, just made me more and more passionate about the business!
Sorry if I sound like a little “bitch” (and yes I’m aware of how offensive this statement is, my daughter is Gay and I support her 1 billion percent, I’m more speaking of my “manhood” I’m not, I swear. I’m 48 years old w/ 2 teenage kids. I’m 100% compassionate about making this work
Thank you!!
Any advice would be appreciated
Absolutely stunning…loved the quiet working with music background. Only thing better would be if they were mine for Father’s Day. Keep up your superb craftsmanship. Cheers
You are a master at this , but how does one learn and get to this level ?
Self taught mate. When I enjoy something I go tunnel vision to learn and create the best to my ability. Thankyou!
Nice job G
Hello, what is that silver metal object embedded in the heel? What is it called?
*At **3:20** ? That's the leather shank (it can help prevent squeaky shoes and offer more support). I think it also has the metal shank glued underneath it (actually it's really hard to tell since there's glue on there, so it's a guess lol 😅). I've seen cobblers do that before. Other times the metal shank doesn't have the leather piece on top. And there's also shanks that are thick leather strips. So those are the possibilities in the video.*
Great work as always mate, nice job!
Great job!❤
So good to see you back and such a fine video. A great way to spend 15 mins watching you work.
Thanks for that! Glad you enjoyed. Catch you in the next one!
Great to see you back with a vid 😊
Nice job, you can't beat a cover sole they are so hard wearing.
great job, never have seen a heel treatment quite like that. Your edge dressing looks like fine wood. Just awesome all around.
Nice shoes great work G a really nice finish on those soles 👍
Cheers Tony!
Holey moley CG thats is up there with the best on KZread - fantastic finished result, love the bit fudging detail. Never seen those heel finishers before with the built in seggs. They look like they are £500 pair shoes when done. First class ❤
Cheers brother! Glad you like em! G
Nice work! Mate, how do you drop those crazy metal rimmed top lifts on us without providing more details? 😂
Been too long G - liking the integrated Segs
Cheers bru! Things have been extremely busy! Managed to squeeze this one in! Respect! G
Superb
The shoe comes out very beautiful. 15:03
