El Paso hold a special place in my heart. I have been visiting a Paso regularly for more than a decade. I am a Canadian who just randomly ended up in the city and loved it. But over the years I see that so many new things open up and close down. it’s nice to hear of new projects. I am especially looking forward to going to the Elmont when I’m back in El Paso in September. Thank you for this video.😊

Lived here 6 months…. 7 orders stolen (all Amazon locker deliveries, 1 at home address). Roads are awful, 1 year old car is a rattle trap now. Assault on the senses, especially the noise, cars/mufflers/engines. Service is poor. Medical industry poor, long waits, if not, inability to see a specialist/due to you having to retrieve records yourself , not them. No internet…. Again…currently, 3 times already. Too many to list. I’ve lived many many places, even very large cities (SF, NY, LA), by far, not a good experience here. Moving back to CA to pay the high taxes and have decent roads with pretty scenery!

What ever happened to when the taxes are not paid, the property goes to tax auction? Problem solved. Leave it to government to make a non-issue into something to spend more money on. If the taxes are paid, mind your own business, it is private property. Common sense is just not that common any more.

Houses are now 400k in El Paso? They used be like 200k. What the crap happened. I would want to move there because it's cheap. Not cheap anymore.

Have lived in EP 3 times...have lived all over the country...El Paso is top-tier - especially compared to so many other places! Yea there are some downfalls: Heat -but at least it's dry so in the shade it's not too bad. Sand Storms/ monsoons- everywhere has some sort of extreme weather! Traffic/accidents- still better drivers than so many places I've lived! Construction is also an issue everywhere. Taxes are horrible everywhere! Service is more laid back but way more friendly and people actually try here...the rude and horrible service I've had over the years other places...I praise EP for MANY reasons!!! It's also growing more and more...so many new things and tons to do if you explore the area!

THE WORST THING IS THE BLUE DEMOCRAT DOMINANCE. YOU CAN SEE STUPID ALL OVER LOCAL APPOINTED OFFICIALS WHICH MAKES SENSE AND REFLECTS THE POPULATION

What’s the deal with these Community Associations that operate like HOAs? Moved into a community with no HOA and now I owe dues to a Community Association???

Very interesting 🤔 But what about the people that have been paying their taxes ,the city needed to be building infrastructure out there not just taking people's taxes and pocketing that money. I'm sure people have been paying taxes for over 50 years and the city has done nothing for those thousands of people paying their taxes. The city is quick to write laws to take people's land away when they have worked all their lives to pay for their property. Very interesting. The people should ban together for a class action suit against the city.

We live in Las Cruces, NM and the "El Paso Special" (#4) is also prevalent here. I think it's the culture and attitudes in general. We've learned to live with the no shows and incomplete works, and the postponements and tardiness. Work will get done, eventually, not necessarily by the original person and not within your time frame. It's frustrating but we live with it.
