How do you share a picture saved on notes to fb?
as long as the picture is in your camera roll (saved image in Photos) when you’re in Facebook, select it (if you’re using your iPhone), you have to enable sharing your photos. This is in settings- privacy… if the photo is only in your notes, tap and hold down and then click share, then “save image.”

Rather than using Apple notes for your groceries try Apple reminders instead and turn the list into a shopping list. This can also be shared however it automatically groups items eg fruit and vegetables or bakery. It can have dates added and be set with a specific location. Shopping templates can be created also with all the mentioned tags also.

Hmmm, need more information--are you using an iPhone, iPad, or MacBook? What operating system are you using? Lastly, have you updated to latest version of notes?

I wish I would have seen this video earlier today. I spent almost two hours organizing my Notes. But with this being said, I also learned how to turn off the dates in my notes, which always frustrated me, and then learned how to sort alphabetically.
Hi Tekky, Thanks for sharing. For the 1st feature, the related text don't have color change after Emoji icon tapped. I am using iPhone 13 mini IOS 17.4.1. Do you know the reason? thanks.
I think the color will change once you tap into the search box (that will activate the emoji text connection.) Can you try that?

It should work- try powering down phone, then restart. This function is for the Messages App. The words associated with emojis don't turn orange until you tap the emoji button. When you're in abc mode, they remain black. Write your message, then tap the Emoji button under Keyboard. Wait for the words to turn orange. Tap an orange word to replace it with an emoji. If there's more than one emoji that you can use, the Quick Reply field shows you options to choose from. Also, make sure emoji keyboard is selected in settings- keyboard. Hope that helps :-)

Very good but you forgot the best feature of the timer, my favorite. Instead of sounding a chime at the end you can have it shut down apps like the radio or video. Great for bedtime listening.

There it a quite big bug in Apple Notes, tags in share sheets don’t work yet. I’m sure they will fix it but if you start a share sheet and say type in #receipt it’s not recognised as a tag. No matter what you do, hit return, don’t hit return etc. You have to find the note you created in the share sheet in Apple Notes, put the cursor behind where you typed #receipt and hit return a second time and only then will it become a tag. I note that you had no smart folders in your menu. I use them all the time with tags especially and note that you can’t nest smart folders like you can normal folders. Hopefully in the future updates these things will get fixed. That is unless you know a way?
@strengthbydesign Thanks for your comment! It us true, you can’t access smart tags from sharing box, however, my workaround is to share the sheet to notes, then open up Notes and fix Tag- takes an extra 15 seconds. Maybe Apple will fix this… but if not there is a workaround😊
@strengthbydesign You are right, I didn’t show any Smart Folders. I will be making another video that focuses on how to use Smart Folders….it is true; you can’t nest Smart Folders, but they do have their other advantages. Thanks for commenting.

@rjmcneely8545 Great point! Apple support would be a great place to share your thoughts. I personally use the alarm function (labling and repeated alarms)...Also the Reminders app may be what you are looking for....
Shouldn’t need a separate app just to remind. Google keep figured it out

Great tips! One option rarely discussed is how to backup all of your notes. I’ve had to rely on this a few times - once when all my notes mysteriously disappeared after an upgrade. The procedure I use is: 1. Go to the ALL On My Mac section of your NOTES folders list. 2. Create a new folder called Notes Backup YYYYMMDD i 3. Select ALL notes from your All iCloud folder. 4. Holding the Option key down, drag the notes into the Notes Backup folder. A green plus icon should appear as you're dragging the Notes to the new folder. This creates a copy of your iCloud Notes on your computer.
You might mention that those scanned receipts become searchable content

I should also have mentioned that if you want greater text size, up to 310%, you can enable that by doing the following: SETTINGS > ACCESSIBILITY > DISPLAY & TEXT SIZE > "LARGER TEXT" TOGGLE ON
