University of Georgia

University of Georgia

Chartered by the state of Georgia in 1785, the University of Georgia is the birthplace of public higher education in America - launching our nation’s great tradition of world-class public education. What began as a commitment to inspire the next generation grows stronger today through global research, hands-on experiential learning and extensive outreach. One of America’s “Public Ivies” and a top 10 best value in public higher education, the University of Georgia tackles some of the world’s grand challenges - from combating infectious disease and securing the world’s food supply to advancing economic growth and analyzing the environment.

Located in the Classic City of Athens, approximately an hour northeast of Atlanta, Georgia’s flagship university thrives in a community that promotes the benefits of a culture-rich college town with a strong economic center.

I’d rather watch the fry and Laurie sketch about language. It’s insane and funny.

As someone who went to school in Atlanta, it's always weird for me to remember that UGA has academic stuff going on and people aren't just partying all the time 😂😂

Thank you Ms Abrams for doing what I could only dream of as an eighteen year old 50 years ago. In each generation the Almighty chooses those to do his will in his season.

The Gregorian Calendar fixed problems with the Julian Calendar related to the fact that the Julian Calendar picked up an extra day every 128 years. Feb. always had 29 days in the Julian Calendar. The fix meant we did not have leap years in 1800, 1900, 2100 but we did in 2000. The idea that it added Feb. 23 is nonsense on the face of it as the days are numbered 1-28 or 1-29.

Bloody well done girl & a tidy speech, very tidy. I worked with Sarah in Sochi & was very impressed, she is a credit to herself/family and NBC who she was working for at the time.

I know it was personal reflection. While I was expecting something homogenized with political correctness, non-commital, saying words that have been measured & divided to offend no one. This speech gave me a refreshing challenge to consider this young womans view of her experience. Thank you for making it personal, opinionated, and bringing something..
