Terrible video. Don't bother. Its so easy to damage the unit with the flimsy plastic clips and he doesn't really tell you what he's doing though this video is better than his other one where the camera is pointing in the wrong direction.

Guys, do you know which suits better - S11S01A or S11S01B (both part no. 170-1012-00)?

This video misses some of the details, but by following along with it, I was able to replace the battery on my Kindle DX Graphite. It is now charging up.

While I still remember what I did, I'll go over details that the video glossed over or didn't mention. Since I have smaller hands and less hand strength than the person in the video, I had to stand up and press down with my weight before I could use the green tool to unlock the hooks holding the top part on. It wasn't obvious where they were, but from freezing the video, I learned there were two near the sides and two more near the ends of the logo. After getting that off, there were black rubbery pieces blocking my view of the screws I had to unscrew and remove (not just loosen as the video had stated). This made it difficult to tell which screwdriver I needed. Some that I tried didn't work. One was too large, and others were too short at the thin part that could fit into the space above each screw. The video did not give me a clear look at the screws, but I did notice that he used a black screwdriver, and since I had a toolset I bought just for this job, I used the black Phillips head from that set, and it worked. With my other hand, I used the black flathead to pull it all the way out after it got unscrewed, and I used a magnet to extract it and set it aside. After taking the battery out, I didn't remember which way to put it in, and it wasn't too obvious from the video. But I saw that the place where the battery interfaces to the device was on one side, and that gave me the information I needed to put it in right. After putting the case back on, the small screws for holding it in place would not reach the case. I had to take the case off again, better align it with the device, and push it up further. I also pushed down on the base while screwing the screws in. To put the top part back on, I used the flathead screw driver to push down some of the plastic hooks. After getting the top part back on, there was a gap between it and the case, and I had to push them together. When I first turned it on, nothing happened. I let the battery charge up for a few hours, and it now works. Although I followed this video, I bought a different brand of battery, because it was cheaper.

There is a problem at 3:25 --- the entire boot sequence (which lasts a couple of minutes at least) is missing. How can that be? If you have just inserted the battery, then the system is still in shutdown state, so you couldn't possibly show the "wakeup from suspend" followed by book viewer instantly. So, this means the video is fake at least from that portion.

you really can't do this without watching the video. It is brilliant! Anyone attempting without the knowledge is destined to break something. If you follow these instructions (in good light) you'll find it straightforward.
