This is such a great idea, love the changes you made, perfect use of the space yet it looks spacious. I’m working on designing my own house, also making the second story so I can rent it out separately with outside stairs plus possibly converting the garage in the future to a studio. Possibly to home my elderly uncle or as a future rental. All this when my kids move out and thinking towards my old age passive income 😊 Love the shiplap as well, looks sleek and homely.

having trouble grasping how to visualise pitch & crickets on rectangluar concept house 16m long x 5m wide are you able to oint me in right direction with this as am struggling to get the concept of pitch of roof in decimal dimensions Is it possible to do flat roof design with adequate drainage on a building with the dimensions I indicated? Building being proposed is a 2 storey construction with lightweight aeroclaved blockwork

nice video, man, as always. quick question ... as an architecture student I always hear how Revit or ArchiCAD are the softwares to go, especially in the future, where BOM seems like the way to go. but i see you pull off this beautiful, detailed work with only Rhinoceros (and rendering softwares for post-production ...) and i think to myself "damn, he knows what he's doing." so i'm wondering if Rhino is the primary software you use for you plans (even for construction elements (foundation, beams ...), facade details and so on), or do you use it mostly for the "quick" 3D model to present to the clients and work partners, but you make the plans for the actual building (structural elements, wall structure, windows ...) in let's say Revit. thanks for your time and answer and keep up the awesome work, brother. 💪🏻

Hey thanks man! Apprecaite you watching my videos. So when I was in architecture school I mainly used auto cad but was definitley pushed towards revit/ archicad etc.. maybe im just reluctant to learn a new program but for me I’m doing drawings for single family homes that arent really too overcomplicated to just do in cad. All structurals and everything I do in cad as well. If I was doing commercial buildings with intense MEP drawings then I would definitley be on revit because its much more organized & intuitive. My 9-5 job I used to have mainly used cad so I never really made the jump to revit. I dont know if you have a job in the field yet but when you look around you’ll realize alot of firms use completley different programs so its hard to get married to one. The rhino / lumion mix has always felt natural because rhino has commands just like cad. And the lumion live sync is awesome.

@@bruniarchitecture Hey, sorry for the late answer. Read yours immediately, but never got to writing mine ... Thanks for the insight, was kinda the answer I was hoping for lol, since I want to be in the same branch and style of architecture as you are, if that makes sense. Another quick question ... In one of your previous, older videos you model a cottage home ("Tudor Cottage Home 3D Speed Build - Rhinocerous 3D") and you link a video in the description that explains the process of 3D modeling a building like you did, but the video seems to have been removed/privated ... Do you still know who made that video or where I can maybe find similar ones (even if they're paid)? Despite the infinite tutorials on the internet, none of them suit "your" style, if you know what I mean. Any tips? Thanks again for the answer and keep on the awesome work. 💪🏻 Cottage house: kzread.info/dash/bejne/dImasqmmhpeThZM.html Unavailable video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qIdqk5SAl5TKcqw.html

I wonder if on te gambrel roof it would be acceptable to put the sole plates directly inline with the wall, so the roof overhung (increasing its internal size)

Great Video. I will be building a small one story 8/12 pitch home and trying to decide between a gable or hip roof. Is there a big difference in costs between the two?
@bruniarchitecture9 ай бұрын
Hey thanks 👍 It really depends on the spans of the hips and if you have to use lvls. A hipped roof is more labor intensive as there is more cutting and measuring. On a gable you take one measurement and every rafter is the same.
